I'm all doped out on Nyquil, so please excuse any mistakes and ramblings and mumbo jumbo in this chapter. Things are starting to progress a bit, eh? Lots of stuff coming up! And I'm posting a picture of Samuel (In the vain of Armie Hammer) in the sidebar. If you aren't captivated by his charming good looks, go to youtube, find a cip with his voice, and prepare for melted knee caps. Suriously.

After dinner, ice cream, training, and a bit of slouching around for a bit, I decided to take Serena up on the offer and stay with them for the night. I would be just as safe there, if not more so, she’d told me, and I couldn’t really disagree with that.
On top of this, I was thoroughly exhausted and, as much as I’d hoped to spend a little bit of my time with Sam that evening, I didn’t really have it in me to wait up and sneak over to his place. So, after calling my mother and asking for permission to stay with Serena, I called Sam.
“I was wondering when you’d call,” he answered after just a couple of rings. “Are you just finishing up with Thomas?”
“I was actually kidnapped afterschool,” I told him with a small laugh. “The Homecoming Dance is next weekend and Serena is insisting that I go, so we went shopping today.”
“Are you still over or did you want me to pick you up?” he asked.
“I’m still here; she wants me to stay the night. You know, complete the whole girl’s day out with a little slumber party action,” I said. I don’t know why I put it that way, I was just hoping that he wouldn’t feel betrayed or neglected, but I felt stupid as soon as I thought that. Why would he care? As long as I wasn’t being abducted, he probably couldn’t give a shit.
“Is everyone there?” he asked, sounding a bit off.
“Yeah, they’re all in the living room watching a movie.”
“Can I speak with Thomas?”
“Okay,” I said, but I was a little confused. I returned to the living room, finding Thomas sprawled out on the footrest, his knees bent on one end and he head hanging off the other. “Thomas?”
His head snapped in my direction and I held the phone out to him. He looked confused, but stood up and took it into the other room.
“This should be nice,” Serena said. Her voice was thick with sarcasm and Paul hit her in the face with a pillow.
“Yeah, I got that,” Thomas said from the other room. His voice was rough and when I went to check on him, he was scowling a bit. “She’ll be fine, Samuel. Honestly, we’re with her all of the time.”
Thomas looked my way, smiling apologetically, but turning around before responding to his brother.
“Okay…yes…here she is…bye…” Thomas reached the phone out to me, rolling his eyes before going back to the living room.
“What was that all about?” I asked, putting the phone back to my ear.
“I was just explaining everything,” Sam said, his voice was sort of sad.
“I’m sorry, Samuel,” I told him.
“For what?” he said, chuckling a bit.
“I don’t know,” I said, feeling stupid. “Are you sure you’ll be okay? I can—”
