Alya unfolds the will.  She begins to read it aloud.  Here is what it says, The Last Will and Testament of  Bridgette Dupain-Cheng:   I Bridgette Dupain-Cheng, being of sound body and mind hereby leave my land, the house, furniture, car, and all my other worldly goods to my twin sister, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and the Agreste family son, Adrien Agreste.   It is important for me that they share these things equally.  I do not want any trouble from either of them.

Adrien scowls.  "What just a minute, how should I share these things with her?  I do not want to have a maid or an extra house guest!"  Adrien protest.

Marinette frowns, "Well, I do not need a butler or extra house guest myself.  How will I see to it that he gets his fair share?"

"Mr. Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you see here now!  I am not done with reading the entire will.  There is a clause that explains all if you will just listen."  Alya Cesaire remarks.

"Fine continue on with reading it then!"  Adrien remarks.

"Yes, please do read the rest!"  Marinette says.

"Good, glad you two agree on something at least."  Alya Cesaire says.

Alya  Cesaire picks up the important document, scans it, and begins to read where she left off.       The rest of the will reads as follows:  I do not want any trouble from either of them.  I  know this may sound a bit extreme, however, I mean well.  I want my sister to be properly taken care of and Adrien to be so as well.   I wish them both my blessings on them.   This is why I choose to include a clause within this that shows my wishes as to how the inheritance is to be cared out.

Clause:  My sister, Marinette Dupain-Cheng who I adore, and love dearly you are to marry, Adrien Agreste!  If for any reason you refuse to do so, then I am sad to say you will not get the legacy at all!   Furthermore, if   Adrien Agreste, shall refuse to take to you to be his wife then he shall fore fit his rights to it as well.

As a result, everything will be sold in an estate sale within four months after this is read!  My attorney, Alya Cesaire who is in charge of the reading of this and a witness to my writing of it, shall see to it that you both keep my word, otherwise you know what happens!

Ps.  Marinette, I am sorry, I could not be here for the wedding ceremony as I am sure you will make a lovely and wonderful bride!  Adrien, I am sorry, I could not be here to see you become my sister's groom and future husband to be. I am sure you will cherish her as I do and make her very happy!

"what?  You can not be serious!  I  rather die than marry him!"  Marinette says. She is in shock about the clause part of the will itself.

"Hmmpfth, I do not get any pleasure out of it either, Miss Dupain-Cheng.  I do not think this will ever work out."  Adrien says.

"Well, you two have four months to figure everything out!  I shall see myself out.  Oh, and do not worry, I have already told the proper authorities you will stay here for the proper length of time so that the waterworks and the electricity shall not be cut off anytime soon.  I wish you both good luck!  Have a good day!  Bye, bye, now!"  Alya Cesaire says.  She goes outside, climbs into her car, and drives away before Adrien or Marinette can stop her.

After the attorney leaves, Marinette sits down in a chair and sulks.  She can not believe that her sister would put such a horrible statement in the will.   Surely there is a misunderstanding, right?  There is no way Bridgette would really want her to marry, such a crude, and ugly boy as this Agreste person before her, right?   Marinette stands up, looks over the entire will herself and when she comes across the same clause section she sits down with a blank expression on her face.  For once she feels at a loss for words.

Adrien rereads the will silently to himself.  He reads the clause part slowly.  He frowns.

He sits down on the sofa and thinks, well this sure is a fine pickle I find myself in now is it not?

He has no idea, how to tell his boss back home that he needs extra time off from work, let alone how to get along with the now quiet girl who shares the same burden he does.

He shakes his head.  He picks up the phone and says,  "Now, see here!  I need more time off than I thought I did previously."

He hears his boss, laugh, and waits to see what happens next.

Much to his relief, his boss says,  "Take all the time you need.  I will hold the fort for you while you are away.  Also, I will call you if anything important comes up.  Good day,  Adrien Agreste."

Adrien smiles, and speaks into the phone, "Thank you sir, and good day to you as well."  He hangs up.

Marinette calls her boss and she too explains the best she can that she needs more time away from her job as well.  Her boss is not quite as understanding as Adrien's though.

"Marinette, you mean to say you need four additional months off?  Ha, this better be some joke!  You know I need you back here, sooner than this!"  Marinette's boss, Lila remarks.

"It is not a joke, Miss Rossi, I am serious as can be.  I need the time off to claim my legacy from my late sister, Bridgette."  Marinette replies at her end of the phone.

"I can not have a worker who is irresponsible as you. Ha, you may have four months off!  In fact, you may have more time off than this!  You see there is nothing more here for you!  You are fired!  Now, do not trouble me again.  Bye, bye now!"  Lila Rossi says.

"I see. Bye."  Marinette gulps. She hangs up in shock that her boss just laid her off like this.  She thinks, of all the cruel things that could ever happen to her she never saw this coming.  She sobs and can not seem to stop.
