I awoke to my younger brother and sister jumping on me and giggling "wake up sister." I chuckled but got up no the less pulling them down to tickle them when my father walked in helping me tickle the little monsters. After our tickle session my father carried them out of my room leaving me to get dressed. Let me introduce myself, I'm Faolan, Faolan lothbrok the eldest daughter of Ragnar and Lagertha. (pronounced f-way-lan irish-gaelic for little wolf) after I was dressed I entered the kitchen "morning mother." she smiled and kissed my head before serving breakfast to me and my siblings. My father entered the house and pressed his lips to my forehead muttering a good morning before speaking with my mother about my brothers thing. I ate in peace before going to take care of my chores, my father approached me with a smile on his face, I raised a brow as he finally reached me. "Do enlighten me father, what has you in such a good mood?" "My darling Faolan how would you like to come with me and your brother to Kattegat for his thing?" "I would be honored to accompany you father." he nodded before running off to my brother. I chuckled before returning to feeding the goats, later that day my father came to me again and told me to go pack so that is where I am now in my room packing clothes and other things for our trip. Since we now had more people going on the trip mother offered for us to take one of the horses which we did, he was a large plow horse, my father insisted I ride while he and my brother walked with the dog, knowing he wouldn't stop pestering till I got on I did so without argument knowing I wouldn't win. Riding next to my father and brother we neared a stream as the light began to fade from the sky. "We will make camp here, we should reach Kattegat in the morning." I nodded sliding off the horse to set up my bed and get a fire going to cook dinner for my father and brother. After the fire was strong enough I began to cook the deer my father shot earlier in the day, once it was done we all ate before lying down to listen to fathers stories. Half way through I fell asleep not hearing the conversation my brother and father had.
(Bjorns POV)
Sister was asleep so I decided this would be a perfect time to ask about sister. "Father what is sisters story?" "what do you mean son?" "why is her hair the color of a raven and her eyes the color of the forest?" "because she is a blessing from the gods, hand chosen to look and behave like a woman beyond her years. When the gods gave us your sister we were shocked, how could a child look so beautiful, we thought, but now that she is older I realise she is a goddess." we both smiled while looking at my sister, everyone loved her, and you couldn't be jealous of her for she was too kind, any man, woman, child, and animal loved my sister. I fell asleep thinking of my sister who was a goddess.
(the next morning still Bjorn)
The next morning I awoke to the smell of deer cooking over a fire and opened my eyes to see my sister cooking awaiting my father and I's awakening. My father was already awake and eating as she made more food. "Morning brother your food is waiting. Any way father I was wondering if when we went to town if I could go see the seer?" "that's fine by me, just return in time for your brothers thing." "of course father." she smiled a smile that could light the world.(Faolan's POV)
We arrived in Kattegat at around midday and while my brother and father went off to find my uncle I went to find the seer. After a ride across town I come to the seer's hut, entering I find him sitting there awaiting my arrival. "Greetings my child how may I be of service to a child of the gods?" "my father wishes to go west, what will become of him? And what will become of me, am I truely a child of the gods?" "your father will go west, and it will bring him fame and fortune, along with your brothers. As for you, his journeys west will lead you to your lover, and unlock your true power as a goddess, for you are to be the goddess of the earth and the animals. I hope this gives you the answers you wanted, for the gods allow me to give you the answers you seek, unlike anyone else." "It has, thank you seer may the gods bless you." I licked his hand and left. "Best hurry or you'll be late." I realised he was right and mounted my horse and rode across town, entering the great hall right before the ceremony, finding my father and Rollo I sat. after my brother received his armband he joined us at the table, "welcome back sister." I smiled at my little bear. Father handed him a mug of mead "you are a man now, drink with us." I raised my own mug as a toast. I was zoned out when I heard Rollo's voice "your father told me you went to the seer, what did he tell you, riddles like everyone else?" as my uncle said this people around us began to laugh. "No, actually he gave me the answers like I wanted, told me the gods gave him permission to tell me the whole truth." everyone was shocked besides Floki who looked at me proudly, I stood to go talk with him. "Hello my little wolf how are you?" "fine thank you Floki and yourself." "can't complain the gods have graced me with your presence." we smiled at each other before he laughed and wrapped me in a hug.
