It had been a few weeks since I had moved in with Floki and it was now time for the venture west. Everyone had arrived at our house to begin the quest, everyone was sharpening their weapons and saying their prayers, I approached Floki. "Be careful my love you are not a god yet." "of course dear, and keep yourself warm and fed, I will be back before you know it." I kissed him, meaning for it to be just a peck but he pulled me onto his lap to deepen it, when he allowed me to pull away I giggled before returning to the house so I could start my dinner.
Floki's POV:
(a few weeks later)
We had been at sea for a while, but we finally made it, land, it was so green and no one had weapons, we were on our way home now, back to my little wolf, I smiled at the thought of her. "Thinking of her." I looked up and saw it was Ragnar who had spoken, I smiled. "Indeed." "she is quite the wildfire isn't she." it was more of a statement then a question, I just nodded. "Excuse me, but I think he is dead." I looked at the priest with a glare for interrupting, I hope my little wolf isn't like her father with his fascination for Christians. I walked over to the dead priest and threw him over the side of the boat. Before returning to Ragnar. "So tell me again why we didn't kill them." "because they could be interesting." "you and your fascination." I started mumbling to myself, getting more and more upset as I didn't have my little wolf to calm me.(timeskip a few days later)
I could see the harbor from here and I could see the people lining up awaiting our arrival, I just hope my little wolf is there. A few minutes later we had docked and were unloading the boat when I heard someone running towards us, I turned around just in time to catch my love who had jumped on me, both of us falling to the ground as I was not prepared for the sudden weight.
Athelstan's POV: (bet you didn't expect that)
I watched as a girl jumped onto the man Ragnar had spoken to often on our journey back, with how young she is I would say it was an arranged marriage, but I didn't see a ring on her finger. I watched as they toppled to the ground her giggling like a young child. Ragnar pulled me off the boat, the girl got off the ground and ran toward us, Ragnar opened his arms as the girl ran into them, she hugged him "it's good to see your still in one piece father." Ragnar was her father, how old was she. "I looked after him as promised, little wolf, though they didn't put up a fight, not a single weapon." she looked confused at what I wasn't sure. "No weapons." she turned to me. "Don't you know how to fight?" I shook my head. "I brought him as a slave isn't he odd." "indeed father." she pulled my head down and looked at the bald spot on my head, running her hands through my hair feeling the texture, she lifted my head up again and looked at my eyes, before she gasped and backed away looking scared. She backed into the man who clearly didn't like me.
Faolan's POV:
I gasped in fear as I backed away from the man while walking back I tripped falling into Floki, I turned and buried my face into his chest. "Make it go away." "make what go away little wolf?" "the voices." "what voices? Little wolf?" "I need to see the seer." with that I rushed off into town to the seer's hut. I rushed in and quickly spoke. "What are these voices, why am I hearing them?" "calm yourself my dear, you have unlocked your powers as a goddess, you are hearing the voices of those who pray to you, but it's your choice to listen." I calmed down after hearing that. "Your lover will begin to experience the same thing soon." "how soon until he-." "soon my dear." the seer had a different voice "as a matter of fact he already has, he just thinks he's gone crazy." "why did I start hearing them?" "because you found someone who believes in false Idols." "I see." with that the seer returned to normal the gave me a smile, I went to lick his hand but he stopped me. "No need for payment my dear you and your lover are gods now." I nodded smiling at him before turning to leave. I returned to my love and smiled. "Little wolf, what happened?" "i'll tell you when we go home." he nodded seeming to understand that it wasn't something I wanted to talk about in front of people. I turned back to the slave 'he better stay there' I glared I hated this man, how dare he believe in false idols, how dare he.
Floki's POV:
I watch as my little wolf looked at the priest like, well, a wolf. I don't know what he did but he pissed her off and that won't fly with me. I wrapped my arm around her and she looked up at me and smiled I kissed her head, after our moment a servant of the earl came telling us that the earl wanted to see us. When we arrived at the great hall the earl spoke of treason because we went against his orders and went west, not that I cared about all that, the only thing that caught my attention was when he said he was canviscating my boat, well Ragnar's but whatever, the earl gave Ragnar the choice of the slaves or the treasure, with how upset he made my little wolf I wanted him to choose the treasure, I wanted a queens life for my little wolf, but he chose the priest. 'I'll kill him, one day' my love sneered beside me at her father's choice. "Let us leave love we have much to discuss." I nodded following her out of the hall to our horses so we could return home until Ragnar approached us. "Come by for dinner we will celebrate our journey, everyone else is coming." "very well, we will be there." I turned to look at my wolf, shocked that she agreed to be in the same house as the priest, but I listened to her nonetheless. We arrived at Ragnar's house just as the sun set over the horizon, all the other men from the journey there as well, we had a feast of sorts and enjoyed our time together.
