Me: *writes a story*
Everyone: SCREW GENE HE MAKES ME WANT TO DIE
Me: Ah...
Maybe I can do something with this information 😏
I wonder what I'm up to...

I yawned. Only a few more days until I get to see Aaron again. I smiled, my eyes finally out in the open instead of barricaded in the familiar bandana that Aaron once wore. I had noticed on the inside, with permanent marker, someone, who I believe is Aaron, wrote "Kitty" on the inside. Even though it was a weird nickname, I definitely knew who it was. I was engulfed in memories as I rubbed the five letters on the inside. I was about to close my eyes and rest a little when I heard the doorbell ring. "Who could it be at this hour?" I asked myself, confused as to who would be at my door at 10 PM, the time when my neighborhood usually fell asleep. I placed the bandana on the coffee table next to my couch and got up, brushing off my pants of wrinkles as I stood up, "Coming!" I yelled at the door, making my way out of the living room and to the front door. Once I arrived I took a deep breath in and opened the door.

"Hey, Y/n," I was greeted by a warm voice who I immediately recognized.

"Gene!" I smiled at the friendly, familiar face. I didn't see him as much as I did with the other neighbors but it definitely is a joy to see him once and a while. I welcomed him into a big hug before letting him inside, "What are you doing here?"

"I heard a few rumors going around. That you're a meif'wa and...what happened with Aaron," he trailed off but for some strange reason, he didn't sound sorry for me at all. In fact, he sounded quite glad. I shook it off, thinking it was nothing and just smiled.

"Yeah, but it's nothing. Being all by myself once and a while does have its perks. I thought I wouldn't make it but here I am," I said, trying to sound more cheerful than I usually am.

"I agree, you totally seem a lot better," he returned my smile, his black, silky hair moving into the way of his icy, blue eyes, making him seem not like the helpless, clumsy neighbor I once met before. In fact, he seems a lot more manly.  (I WONDER WHAT I'M DOING 😏😏😏)

"That's good," I let myself become consumed with his warm atmosphere, feeling the comfort I usually felt with Aaron. But sadly, it still wasn't the same. He may have the same kindness, well not the same but close to, but he still wasn't the same person I love. How could I ever compare the two?

"Well then, you seem to be doing well all by yourself. Do you want to go and watch a movie or something? I'm bored and I'm pretty sure you are too, seeing how you never leave. Why don't we go hang out together?" He suggested.

"Hm..I guess we can watch a movie but can we watch it here? I don't think I'm ready to go out side yet..still," I trailed off.

"Sure, I'm fine with that," he turned tail and wandered into my living room as if he lived here his entire life, plopping himself in the middle  of the couch.

"Alright then," I giggled and followed him, sitting myself right next to him. I grabbed the remote off of the glass table in front of us, separating the couch from the tv, and turned on Netflix, "What do you want to see?"

"How about you decide?" He responded.

"Hmm...alright then. How about we see the Youvengers?" I suggested and he smiled.

"I love them, let's do it," he said and I smiled back at him. I pressed play and together we started to watch the movie.

Half way through the movie and I started to feel exhaustion creeping up every inch of my body. For the first time I actually felt like sleeping instead of staying up 24/7 to worry about Aaron. I allowed myself to be engulfed by it, making my eyes shut and my mind wander. I rested my head against Gene's shoulder and drifted away into a deep sleep with Gene protecting over me.

<Gene's PoV>

I was watching a movie, alone, with Y/n when all of a sudden, I got distracted by the feeling of something warm and soft falling on my shoulder. I looked over and saw Y/n, asleep as she leaned against me, her head limp on my shoulder. My face started to flush as I stared at her sleeping beauty. Oh how jealous I am of Aaron to see this face every night. When I heard her gentle snoring, I reached up and started to pet her hair, curling it around my finger. Then slowly, so o don't awake her, I moved my hand to the bass of her ears, making circles, and then up to the tops of her ears. The softness of it made the thought of her not being human an even better experience. Now if only I could touch her tail.. I sighed with disappointment as I noticed her tail wrapped careful around her legs.

"Darn," I whispered pitifully to myself, moving my hand to her face and rubbing the outlines of her skin.  Her fair, pale skin was soft to the touch, almost softer than her ears and hair. I could touch it for hours, but she would never let me. I wonder what it would be like if she were mine? To touch her skin like this a lot. Maybe with her when she was awake. Maybe touch something more? Oh how jealous I am of Aaron. How does he not abuse something as precious as this? If I were him, I would lock her up and keep her all to myself. Maybe...I should give it a try and lock her up all to myself...

Hmmm I wonder how many hate comments I'll get with this chapter...
