We made it to the bottom of the hill, me lagging behind while Ein boasted about defeating Aaron. I could possibly leave now but I want to be one-hundred percent sure that Aaron is still alive. Besides, my senses did fail me before when someone important to me was lost...and I won't ever forget that. Even so, who knows when the potion will return back into control. "Ah, I can't wait to see the shocked face on his dead, cold body!" Ein exclaimed, looking back at me, "Good work, Y/n, I'm very proud of you, my dear sister," I flinched a bit but I hid it behind my shivering. I'm not usually cold at all but me flinching is suspicious. I don't like being called a 'sister'. To me, I'd rather not have a brother..even my real one agrees..
Once we made it past the trees and forest and into the spot where Aaron should have died, I heard a gasp, filling me with hope and I rushed to stand besides Aphmau to see the scene. There was a blood splash and scattered snow, giving us all signs it was Aaron who survived. A knife was placed away as if desperate to throw from the scene. H-He's alive. Before I could get rid of my tears of joy and relieved smile, something hot and hard slammed me across my face. I was slapped. "Damn you! You failed me Y/n!
"I-I-" I stammered, cutting myself off as I tried to keep myself from holding my tears back and holding my cheek in pain. I just stared at the ground where my head ended up after being slapped.
"I'm willing to give you a second chance knowing who you are but this time, if you fail me again, I won't mind to have you killed! Follow that blood trail and make sure you kill him this time! He is no match for you," Ein desperately screamed, pointing towards the blood trail hidden from the snow.
"Y-Yes!" I said trying to hide my terror. I know what he could do to me knowing he knows who I am. Without looking back up at him, I booked it, following the trial. I'm not doing it because he told me to do it. I must find Aaron myself, and this time, he can and will save me. I put my poker face on as I sped up my pace.
I ended up at the lodge where the blood trial started to blend in with the wood, but I could still smell his scent. He met with Garroth and they headed up stairs, so I followed where they went. I ended up in a room where I saw blood colored water in a bucket. Aaron must have been cleaning up his wounds before he started to leave to wherever he went. A single tear fell down from my still emerald green eyes. Aaron.. even though you are this injured, you still go to save me... I don't know what I'll do if you... I stop my thoughts from bringing more sadness to me. He won't die. For now, I have to find him and tell him everything... Who I really am... and what I am..
After a few minutes of detecting old scents from new scents, I finally traced them to the hidden door, where I heard voices. I took a deep breathe and listened in, trying to determine who's there. Garroth... Kim.. and... Lucinda? They saved her! The next voice brought tears to my eyes. A-Aaron! Without thinking about it
Aaron's P.o.v
"Lucinda.. did you.. do you.. know what Ein is planning..?" I couldn't help but ask Lucinda after she spout how she was thankful for being saved. Lucinda looked up at me after hugging Kim with tears still hung in her eyes.
"Y-Yes.. I know what he's doing... but not enough to know his full plan... and... Aaron.. -" I cut her off.
"We need to save Y/n, she's been following Ein more than you and Zane have. If we can save her, maybe we can get more infor-" As if payback, Lucinda started to talk over me, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"N-No! Aaron you can't save her, you have to avoid her! Ein knows who you and Y/n are! He's using her to be an equal match when you come close to her!"
"W-Who she is? Equal match..?" I questioned. But.. there's no way she's anywhere close to what I am.. so what does Lucinda me?
"A-Aaron! I tried to save her!" Tears were rolling down her cheeks like crazy, "She trusted me on who she is so I can help her not let Ein know! So she can save you! But I failed and now he's using her!"
"Don't blame it on yourself," all four of us froze as we turned to the entrance leading to the lodge. There stood a girl with brown hair and emerald eyes, "You didn't fail me," it was Y/n.
"Y-Y/n?" I stammered staring at her in disbelief.
"No, look at her eyes, she's still under the spell," Garroth said, stepping forward.
"That I cannot argue, I'm still under that forever potion but...I broke free for now but don't trust me yet, who knows when 'it' will decide to give itself back it's freedom..." Y/n smiled, a single tear falling down her cheek. I know that's Y/n... I just have that feeling..
"Y/n.. I'm so sorry!" Lucinda said, ignoring Garroth and ran in to hug her.
"Don't be.. I was forced to tell him, you had no control," Y/n looked up at us with a serious frown as she began her story on who she is, "In case you guys are wondering, on who I really am. On.. what I am. Let me just ask this one question. Do you remember that story about the Y/L/N (Your Last Name) story? About the mother Meif'wa and the father werewolf?"
"The one where the officials tracked them down and killed the parents but couldn't find the daughter..?" Kim answered, out of curiosity.
"That family.. they aren't what they seemed to be. The officials never told anyone why they were being tracked to be executed. They were just a normal family who was killed for no reason at all. But that reason was.." Y/n took a deep breath, "the mother..she was an Ultima. An Ultima Meif'wa," Kim and Garroth froze. I don't understand..is she saying that..
"The daughter ran away and was thought to be dead. They gave up on their search five months later thinking the daughter had taken after the father, but she didn't. She was also an Ultima," She stared at me straight in the eye, "And I... am that daughter,"
Hi how are you? Good? Me too! Anyways how was THAT?! Anyways, just for recap, her mother and father were not human. Her mother was the Ultima Meif'wa and her father was a plain ol' werewolf. Because of PAST things they were found out (you'll know later on) but the couple hid their child, aka YOU and she changed her identification to just 'Kitty' (but there will also be other past things you'll find out) and because of that and hiding her heritage of being a Meif'wa, she was not found out and they gave up searching for her. Also before you leave, her ears are just normal Meif'wa ears and you can decide if it has color tips but it's just brown and her tail is also brown but looks like a werewolf tail because I have no idea what the Ultima Meif'wa actually looks like so YEAH! That's why if she ever gets excited or something (explaining her coldness and emotionlessness) her ears and tail pop out they mistake her for a werewolf. KAY bye <3
