I woke up, my whole body numb from pain as I realized I was tied up on a pillar on the floor. The ropes around me we so tight, my skin started to tear and rise beneath them, "Where am I ..?" My voice was squeakier than normal for a nine year old. I observed the dark and ruined surroundings, taking note that I'm likely in an abandoned building. What caught my attention the most was seeing my brother, Derian, tied up and unconscious on the pillar next to me. "D-Derain? Wake up buddy!" My eleven year old brother started to groan before waking up.

"Wait..What? Y/n? Where are we?" Derain started to look around, startled.

"I don't know but we have to get out of here.." I looked down to the rope, trying my luck to see if I can burst it open, but sadly, no luck. The dark room filled with blinding lights and I looked up to see a door opening and three people entering the room. I couldn't see the third one, but I could definitely make out the figure of a meif'wa female dressed in an all black cloak and a male werewolf with a shirt with ripped sleeves and a tight belt to fasten his tight pants. I watched them enter the room, one by one. The third figure, vanished, the meif'wa went to a dark corner to watch from afar and the werewolf came over to me and kneeled before us.

"Well well, look what we have here," he observed each of us carefully, smiling a bit more every time he pinpointed a bruise on us.

"What do you want from us?" My brother asked the man. He turned and faced my brother, his hair covering up his angry face.

"Who have you permission to ask questions?" The man asked, sternly. My brother held his gaze for a moment before breaking it away, sweat glistening his face.

"Dear Irene, can you all shut up and get to the task on hand?" The meif'wa snapped. The werewolf looked at her for a moment before sighing.

"You're right, master would hate us even more than he does now if he injure them more," I grounded my teeth, watching the man approach me, "I want to know which one of you is the ultima,"

"And why would we tell you?" I questioned him, making sure he could see the hatred in my glare.

"You better or we'll kill you jut like we did to your parents," the werewolf replied, smirking at his own words.

"W-What?" My eyes went wide in shock. How could my parents die? The gasp I heard from my brother meant that he also didn't know this fact, despite being older. The man stared at me, surprised as well but he shook it off.

"So no one told you? Well then my dear, today's your plucky day," I cringed when he called me that, but then he started to come so close to me that his lips were touching my left ear, "we killed your parents," he whispered, "they're probably being dissected on as we speak,"

"Get away from me!" I screamed and kicked, mostly from trying to deny the fact my parents were dead. Tears started to form in my eyes. How could my parents die like that? They're the strongest people I know so how could they just...

"Now tell me who the ultima is," the man backed away from me, exchanging glances with bother Derain and I.

"Never," Derain said as if reading my mind. The werewolf sighed, shaking his head in disapproval. He then looked at me, or somewhere behind me, deep in thought of whatever was crossing his mind as he studied me.
