Finding Batman wasn’t hard all Skye had to do was follow the sound of fighting and a hammer smashing into the ground. She found them outside a store, Harley was swinging her hammer as she tried to cave in the Bat’s head while Batman was dodging and looking for an opening to attack. Nightwing and Robin weren’t anywhere to be found so Skye came out of the shadows and kicked Batman away.

“Get going Harley!” She ordered. “And don’t get caught by the other two.”

Harley’s face flashed with confusion before remembering what Joker had told her about the League of Shadows and ran off with the ingredients. “Until next time Batty!”

Batman started to chase after her but Skye cut him off again. “Come on Batman fight someone who’s actually up for the challenge.”

“Crow… you’re working for Joker.” Batman replied as he watched Harley get away.

“Tell me, where’s the other two?”

Batman didn’t respond, not like she expected him to anyway. Skye dodged a punch and took out her scythe, she tried to back away but Batman was a step ahead and kept in a close range so her weapon couldn’t be used. Growling, Skye threw it to the side and took out the dagger instead. Batman swept her feet out from under her and gave her an emotionless stare before picking her back up and throwing her against a wall. Skye felt blood run down her head but turned and leapt at Batman, she found a weakness in his armor and slid her dagger through it, her enemy grunted in pain and kicked her away. Skye let herself roll across the ground, her hand still holding the dagger tightly, when she looked up Batman was getting to his feet and walked over to her. Two shadows joined him with their weapons out and Skye smirked, looks like the others came to play.

“Stand down, we don’t need to make a bigger mess of this.” Nightwing told her.

“Shut up, this is between me and the Bat!” Skye snapped at him.

Robin ran forward to attack but Batman help up his hand to stop him. “Don’t. I’ll fight her.”

            “But…”

“Do as I say.” Batman hissed through the pain.

Nightwing looked at his old mentor doubtfully but dragged Robin back with him to their motorcycles. Batman turned back to attack again but found his enemy looking at a screen on their watch and arguing with someone.

“I’ll kill him if I want to!” Skye snapped as Ra’s shook his head.

“That isn’t what I ordered you to do.”

“He’s going to be killed anyway, just let me do this.”

            “Not yet.” Ra’s ordered.

Skye scowled from under her hood. “You knew this was my goal now just let me finish this!”

“Am I interrupting?” Batman growled as he caught a glimpse of who was on the screen. “Ra’s… why shouldn’t I be surprised?”

Skye glared at both of them now. “You know each other?”

“Yes, who do you think trained him?”

Skye backed towards her scythe and picked it up before responding. “I quit. You can’t tell me who to kill and who to save anymore. I’m going to kill Batman, Joker, and then you and whoever else gets in my way.”

Skye cut off the watch and smashed it before turning to face Batman; he’d taken out some batarangs and was aiming at her. How fitting, he’s going to try killing me in the same way as before. Skye laughed to herself before lunging forward and smacking him on the wrist to make him drop the weapons. Batman grabbed her scythe and pulled it towards him to unbalance her and punched her in the ribs, Skye winced at the impact but instead of backing off she tackled him onto the ground and put a hand on his throat.

“Time to die Batty.” Skye laughed as she looked down at him but when she saw his eyes up close, hesitated. Did she know him? His eyes looked familiar, along with what she could see of his face but that wasn’t possible, Bruce wouldn’t kill his own daughter.

A wave of dizziness gave Batman the chance to throw her off and she lay on the ground clutching her head. Batman walked over to her and got ready to rip off her hood but Skye was well enough to duck under his arm and stumble off, grabbing her scythe off the ground once again before disappearing into the shadows.

I need to get home… Bruce will be there; he has to be. Skye thought before remembering her new wounds. How will I explain this to them?

Skye listened for anyone following her before allowing herself to sink to the cement in the alley, she could rest here, at least until her head cleared. Of course now when she went out she’d have to watch out for the loyal League of Shadows members, Ra’s had probably had time to tell them of her betrayal by now, that also meant Damian wasn’t far behind and with him… her execution.
