The three girls swirled about the dance floor as if their lifes depended on it.

Kaycee sat in the back of the class. It was completely different than in New York. She was new here, just moved, and was amazed by how talented the dancers were. She danced since she was really young and was quite good but these people still intimidated her a bit.

The girls came to halt, stopping in position and smirked at the camera.

"That was amazing girls! I'm thinking about one last duo." The choreographer looked around while the whole dance class went silent and the group moved back to their place.

It was only Kaycee's second class here, she was quite sure she wouldn't be chosen today. She was still tensed until the coach said: "What about Sean and Bailey? C'mon guys, come up here!"

It wasn't like Kaycee didn't want to dance. The choreo wasn't a problem at all but she didn't feel very comfortable with dancing with a partner right away. She didn't know anyone here and even though dancing was an amazing icebreaker, she hoped she could stay on her own a little while longer.

The crowd went wild as the two came up. Even though Kaycee sat in the back she had a quiet good look, thanks to the mirrors. She already saw Sean dancing yesterday and was completly blown off. She loved the way he moved, the expression in his face and how concentrated he was. She was interested how he would work with a partner, yesterday she only saw his solo, which he killed by the way.

They were amazing. Both were great dancer but something missed. Something missed in the choreo and Kaycee wasn't sure what it was. And she probably wouldn't find out because they already came to halt again.

"Alright guys, that was amazing. Thanks for coming to our class, see you soon!"

Kaycee stood up and so did the rest of the class. She was tired so she took her waterbottle and her bag and hurried up to leave the dance studio.

"Did you have fun? Found new friends?"

Kaycee took a deep breath and looked at her mother who stood in the kitchen and looked at her excitingly. No, she wasn't curios. Not one bit.

"Yes mom, I had fun. No mom, didn't found any friends. I don't think they even acknowledge my present," she said and put her bag onto the stairs.

"I don't think so darling. You just have to be a little more open"

"I'll try next time," Kaycee mumbled and walked into the living room. Parents were exhausting. Maybe she should hide in her room. That was a good idea.

Before anyone could say anything, Kaycee walked up the stairs into her new room. She didn't even finish unpacking the boxes and only half of the room was finished. She definitely needed to do that soon.

The room didn't look like her old one but she still liked it. The best thing about it was the fact that she had her own bathroom with a shower.

Shower. An even better idea. And than unpacking. That sounded like a plan.

Next day, next dance class. Even though she probably shouldn't go and rather unpack her stuff because well... the TV turned on itself and she was distracted. Well, you can't have everything in life.

"So guys. We're starting something new today, what about 'Ain't Your Mama'?" Jojo Gomez looked through her students and got approving nods from everywhere. "Alright, then let's get this started!"

It was... exhausting. But really fun. Kaycee loved that dance and enjoyed every second of the class. Sadly, fun things always came to an end faster than you wanted to, so they started filming before Kaycee even noticed the class was nearly over. She sat down on the same spot she had yesterday and watched some people dance the choreo. And again, they did amazing.

"Alright, alright guys! That was amazing!" The duo that just finished dancing high fived and walked back. "So, I saw a new face over there. Sweetie, what is your name?"

The whole class turned towards her. It took a second until she realized that she was meant. "Uhm Kaycee. Kaycee Rice," she said and looked to the choreographer.

"Do you want to give it a try?" Jojo asked and looked at the girl friendly.

Kaycee nodded slowly and stood up. "Sure, why not." She walked to the centre of the room and waited until the music started. She was nervous. That was new.

Of course, you are always nervous when you dance in front of many people. But usually, Kaycee didn't have a problem with that. She did that since ever, what was she so nervous about?

As her eyes scurried over the crowd, she realized. Could that one pair of eyes make her so nervous? God damn it. Luckily, the music started and she didn't have time to think about it more.

As soon as the music was on, Kaycee was in her zone. She didn't care about the people, the camera in front of her or the pair of eyes that never left her body for one second. She felt carefree, swirled over the dancefloor, mouthed the words of the song and blew away everyone in that whole room. Every movement was sharp and on point, her facial expression, everything. Watching her, there was no doubt.

This girl was fucking amazing.

And yes, she definitely got her head and her heart on the dance floor.
