She undoubtedly accentuates her last words. You make sure you will remember. It might come in handy in Zodiac Land. In order not to fall out of grace so easily, you introduce yourself with a smile: 'I'm (Y/N) from Dongbei. Just an ordinary Sagittarius.' You get a fake smile in return. It's so forced. You are sure you have never seen someone as bad in acting as Xie YanRan. She needs some acting classes.

Just looking at her helplessness makes you burst out in laughter. This does not stay unnoticed as the man turns his attention towards you. Now it's your turn sink through the floor from shame. Because you've met this man before.
'Dancing girl', Lord Chen exclaims. 'YanRan?', he puts on a poker face before he continues, 'Did you two fight?' You haven't opened your mouth yet when you see YanRan glare at you. So you both stay silent. What follows is -in your opinion- a miracle. Lord Chen lets out a disappointed sigh and refrains from talking to you and YanRan. He orders the main maid to lead you back to the women's quarters.
When you are left alone, you see YanRan get back to what you saw before. She's not as tense anymore, so you take the opportunity to pepper her with questions. 'Isn't being honest always the best? Why did you refuse to answer him?', you spit out. Mysteriously, YanRan lowers her head. 'Can you keep a secret?', she whispers. You're not interested, but you nod. You have already found out you won't leave Zodiac Land anytime soon so it's better to have a friend by your side. Apparently, YanRan will be that friend.
She comes closer so she can whisper in your ear. 'My marriage with Lord Chen was arranged. If I were to marry the man I love -' Startled by footsteps she stops talking. You turn your head to see why. A maid has come in and is now setting tea and biscuits on a tiny side table. YanRan shushes her away. You can see she's uncomfortable with having them around. To be honest, she looks like a scared deer. Vulnerable and frightened to death. Why would she be like this in her own house?
