Hey everyone. I know that the first two chapters were small. So here's a bit longer chapter (as compared to those two chapters) :-P enjoy..

I was so damn late. The second lecture had begun. I hope Priyanka has signed for me. I sat in the corridor and waited. Finally the bell rang and I entered the class, and there was Kirti who came running, kissed on my cheek and hugged me tight, "Baby, I was so worried. You didn't pick up my call."
"Was sleeping sweetheart. I'm sorry."
"You shall be punished."
"Oh my god! Please don't get angry my baby. Say what you want. Ummm... chocolates, jwellery.. just name it..."
"I want you... to dedicate a song for me in your next performance. i.e. day after."
"That's it? Okay, done." I kissed her forehead and she left for her special beauty appointment. I was so engrossed with her that I forgot that Priyanka had been standing right behind Kirti.
"Oh. I'm so sorry Priyanka. I didn't notice you've been here all the time. You know Kirti.. she is just so..."
"It's okay, Varun. Just wanted to tell you that I've signed for you and it's okay if you dedicate my song to Kirti."
F**k! How could I forget that the song was made for Priyanka, for our friendship and how could I?
"I'm so sorry Priyanka. It almost went off my mind. You don't need to worry. I'll explain Kirti."
"It's okay, Varun. She is your girlfriend, can understand." She smiled and was about to leave when I called her, "Priyanka."
"Yeah?"
"Why the hell are you so sweet?"
"Because... You are my friend.. you make Me sweet."
She smiled, I winked and she left.
After this hectic Monday, I left college. I dropped Kirti and was finally on my way back home. I reached home, opened the gate and heard noises. It was Mom and Dad fighting. I was pretty used to it, but today it was something unusual.
"Marrying you was the worst decision of my life. You never gave me anything. Just sit at home, be a housewife. Have you ever thought about my happiness?" Dad was yelling at Mom and as usual Mom was silently weeping in a corner. Dad raised his hand on her, but as soon as he saw me, he retreated. Mom also went back to her room, and I was standing there helpless. I could hear Mom weeping the whole night.
The next day I decided not to stay at home and attend college. I wanted to share my sadness with someone and I saw Kirti.
"Hey baby. How's your prctise going on? I hope you are paying attention to my special song."
"Yeah.. Kirti, I wanted to tell you something. Yesterday when I.."
"Chuck that. You know what! Shanaya's boyfriend gifted her a brand new bracelet of platinum. She was showing it off.. Oh baby.. Why don't you gift me such gifts?"
"Kirti I'm trying to tell you something-"
"Is it more important than our relationship? Look Varun, if you don't gift me an expensive stuff soon, I'm not going to talk to you amd I'm very much hard on my decision." And she left.
I was sitting there helpless with my hand held by my hands.
"Are you okay?" I heard a voice from behind and I saw Priyanka.
"Yeah. Just a bit stressed about tomorrow's concert."
"Well I don't think you need to worry about that. You are a rockstar Varun and I'm sure you will rock the show."
"Let's see.. You coming for the show, right?"
"Yes, of course. And if you need something, remember one thing that I'm just a phone call away."
"Yeah. Thankyou." She stood up amd was just about to leave. She turned and asked, "Are you sure you're alright?"
I couldn't resist time. I just could not lie to her. She could read my eyes just like a book. I narrated her everything - all my family issues, the fights and lastly my helplessness."
"You should have told me about this earlier", and then she hugged me tightly. I couldn't resist putting my arms around her and somehow I felt better.
"Remember Varun, I'm always a phone call away. And next time you feel alone and you don't call, I won't talk to you."
"Yeah. I'm really greatful to have a friend like you." She smiled and held my hand and said, "The pleasure is all mine"
I woke up early the next day. A big day - The freshers party. Yet there were four lectures. But that didn't mattered. I was gonna go for the reharsels.
