Save the Citizen

It was now a week into school and everything was starting to be normal. I finally learned my schedule, and met a couple of new people. I also couldn't stop thinking about Lash.

As I got off the bus I saw a long familiar striped arm grab Ron's hat. Ron then runs of the bus chasing after Speed who had his hat. "C'mon Ron where's the hat?" Lash teased

"Hey if your not gonna respect me at least respect the hat" Ron said. I walked off the bus fuming.

"Lash" I yelled and his face immediately dropped.

"Hey baby" he said teasingly. My brother and Layla gave me a weird look.

"Don't call me baby and give Ron his hat back" I said with my arms crossed

"Or what?" Lash said

"Or find a new lab partner" I said

Lash threw the hat at Ron. The hat landed at his feet in the mud.

"Thanks Madeline" Ron said

"No problem" I replied walking into school.

"What was that about?" Layla asked nudging me with a smirk.

"Oh nothing he's been bothering me since the first day about going on a date. I keep saying no" I said not realizing that Will was right next to me.

"Good cause you can't be serious about going out with a guy like him" Will said

"And what's so wrong about a guy like him. Don't be jealous because you don't have powers" I shouted at Will before walking into class. I instantly regretted getting snappy with Will.

I was walking to the lunch table with my tray in hand behind Will when I saw Lash's hand stretched out in the aisle.

"Will" I said but it was too late. Will tripped and his tray of food dumped all over Warren Peace. "Oh no" I said

Warren jumped up from his seat, fire in his eyes.

"I-I'm Sorry" Will stuttered as he picked himself off the floor

"You will be" Warren said

"Look lets not do this" Will said trying to reason with Warren

"You think you can do whatever you want just because your name is Stronghold"

"I'm sorry my dad put your dad in jail but..." Will said and I insisted smacked my hand to my forehead, why would he mention his dad.

"Nobody talks about my father" Warren's hands bursted into flames.

I ran over to the Lash. "Why the fuck would you do this? And to think I was considering giving you a chance. Not now" I said before heading back to help Will.

"Fight Fight Fight" the cafeteria chanted as Warren threw fireballs at Will. Will grabbed a lunch tray trying to shield himself. Instead the fireball melts the plastic. Will dives under a table and begins to crawl while Warren on top of the table throws fireballs.

"Where's your sidekick sidekick?" Warren yelled standing above the lunch table Will was hiding under.

"You want to fight? Fight me" I said

Warren's fire hands grew in size. "Leave her alone" Will said as he raised the table above his head. I stood their in shock.

"He's strong" I said. Will threw the table with Warren on top of it. Warren stood up arms blazing "STRONGHOLDS" Warren yelled. Warren was about to charge my brother and I when an arm snaked around me and pulled me off the ground.

"Lash put me down" I squealed squirming in his grasp.

"I'm trying to help save you" Lash said. Principal powers walked in and gave detention to both Will and Warren. Once they left lash placed me on the ground.
