          The sheer beauty of life

Kates eyes fluttered open and she yawned. I can't wait to see the progress of the Roselia and Oddish! She quickly and quietly got out of bed and got ready. After getting dressed Kate grabbed her scetchbook and ran outside. She took a deep breath " Fresh morning air!" She loved the morning,even though most hate it Kate sees a secret beauty in it. Well she sees a secret beauty in everything. She ran out behind ascension square and carefully walked into the small breeding ground the plant types were. She sat down in front of a small little green and red fuzz on the ground. It was actually a baby Roseila blooming. The fuzz would soon start to look more like petals and the head would soon peak. Kate opened her book and started to draw. After a few minutes of silence and her sitting still, little Roselia and Oddish started to come out of the brush.

The curious little creatures got closer to Kate who continued to draw slowly to keep from scaring them. The Roselia looked up at Kate before lightly touching her knee. After noticing Kates smile the pokemon jumped on to her knee and looked closer at the Ranger in training." Hey there... Curious little thing arnet ya?" She said and the pokemon looked up at her with its black eyes.Most people think the black eyes are scary....but that's what makes them different...And beautiful. The Roselia smiled and spun ,dozens of little green and red petals fell off and floated everywhere.Its amazing how their life cycle works. Kate let a few petals fall in her hand when the school bell rang.

The bell startled the plant types and they ran off. Kate smiled softly and whispered"I'll be back later." Then she got up and carefully left. She swatted as many of the petals off as she went to class. She sat down next to Keith and took a deep breath as the late bell rang.Whew! Made it!

Keith looked at her"Cutting it close arnet you Katie?" I wonder where she was?

Kate looked at him and smiled gently "Yeah...But I did make it." She didn't notice his slight blush and gulp.

Keith looked at her hair and saw a red pedal. He reached and grabbed it making Kates breath hitch silently. He pulled it out carefully and raised a brow."Whats this doing in your hair?"

Kate blushed a tiny hint of pink."Must of gotten in my hair when I was outside...You know spring is when the plant types start growing new petals." She said a matter of factly.

He twirled the pedal in his fingers and smirked.Keith leaned forward and whispered in her ear"True...but they only loose their pedals during early morning." He mentally smirked at her small shiver."Which leads me to this question....Where were you?"

Kate blushed more and knew Keith was enjoying messing with her. She regained her composure and turned toward him looking in his humor filled eyes.Theirs another amazing thing....his ruby eyes..." That my dear friend....is classified." She winked and smirked at him before turning back to the front.

Keith leaned back and looked at the small soft red pedal.Its pretty...but it doesn't compare to Kate. While Kate was busy taking notes he stuck it in his pocket.I'll find out where she goes every morning.

Both teens took notes and did their work...But its pretty obvious which did more.

The lunch bell rang and everyone started for the cafeteria.

Kate walked with Rhythmi and Keith and laughed at him when he sighed"Oh lovely...another day of eating food that tastes and looks like plastic..." He smiled at her laugh and blushed a little.

"Be gratefull that they actually feed us Keith!" She said inbetween her giggles.

Rhythmi got her food first then Kate. After everyone got lunch Rhyth left to eat with Isaac.
