Isaac and Devin didn't even stand a chance. They weren't fast enough to stop him. Jace practically leaped onto Shane when the door opened, tackling him to the ground. Jace started choking Shane with both hands, a fire in his eyes that wouldn't be easy to extinguish.

"What did you do?!" shouted Jace.

Isaac rushed forward and attempted to drag Jace off of Shane. The result was a slightly looser grip on Shane's neck, but Jace wouldn't budge more than that.

Devin came to help as well, though he didn't quite know what to do about the situation. Should he laugh? No, probably not. Fine, no laughing. But what else can I do? he thought.

As Devin continued to stand and ponder his options, Isaac continued to fight with Jace, who continued to choke Shane. If not for the situation, it would be rather amusing to witness.

"Where is Felicity? What did you do?" repeated Jace in a loud, threatening voice.

Shane started becoming more frantic, using his hands to try to push Jace away but to no avail.

Devin seemed to finally make up his mind. From a run, he barreled right into Jace, using his full body weight to force Jace off his victim. Devin and Jace landed in a heap beside Shane, who sat up, gasping for air.

Jace was on his feet in an instant, moving toward Shane again, but this time, Isaac and Devin held him back. Knowing full well Jace could summon his inner Songbird and defeat them both in probably only a couple of swings, Isaac and Devin were wary. But even so, they trusted Jace wouldn't hurt them.

"Think, Jace, think!" shouted Isaac. "You can't question him if you strangle him!"

Jace stopped trying to get past them. He stood there with the same darkness and fury in his eyes as when he was Songbird.

Shane stood, still rubbing his neck. His voice was strong, but his eyes gave away his terror. "You're... crazy..." he panted.

"You know what's crazy?" said Jace. His tone was calm now, which definitely scared everyone in the room even more than his shouting. Devin visibly shuddered. "Felicity was kidnapped a week after you found out my secret."

Shane looked to Jace in disbelief. "She's... what?"

"GONE! Someone took her! If you don't tell me what you did, I swear to—"

"Okay, okay, calm down!" said Shane urgently as Jace made to push through Isaac and Devin again. "I-Is she okay, at least?"

"We've only just found out she was taken." Jace's voice was shaking with anger now. A burning, dreadful anger. "I knew there wasn't a coincidence with you learning about my secret a week ago," spat Jace. "How could you?! Her life is in danger because of you!"

Jace finally shoved Isaac out of the way and got to Shane faster than anyone could react. Jace punched Shane across the face three times, each time getting harder until Devin got between them again and Jace was forced to stop. His fist still hung in the air.

"I'll explain; let me explain!" cried Shane, his hands over his face. When he lowered his defenses, Jace could see Shane's face was bloody and bruised, especially across one cheek. And Jace didn't feel the slightest bit of pity.

"I may have... gone to the Pit... Monday night," said Shane, wincing with his cuts.

Devin was still between Shane and Jace, waiting for Jace's answer. Isaac stood just to the outside of the three, his mouth slightly ajar unconsciously, his blonde hair messier than usual.

"You went to the Pit? Why? Who did you talk to?" demanded Jace. He had to curl his hands into fists and tighten them so much that it hurt in order to not beat the living daylights out of the traitor standing behind Devin.
