The moment she saw him, she knew

she was at the right place, this is were she belonged.

He was sitting on the bench in the garden,

with his sunglasses on, she was intrigued by him.

His face, covered with scars, was still handsome

although his posture looked defeated.

She walked towards him, even before she could reach him

he turned his head and said, "I don't know who you

are but I don't need your help."

His father told her already he wasn't in a good mood

so she expected this behaviour.

"Hello Mr. Can, I'm sorry to disturb you,

I just wanted to come over to introduce myself"

"I already told you, I don't need your help

so it's not necessary to intoduce yourself"

Sanem sighed, she has been through this before,

she ignored his comment and sat next to him.

"I'm sorry you feel that way but I ain't going anywhere,

your father hired me, so here I am,

my name is Sanem by the way"

Can was silent, still in defense mode.

His father hired her to take care of him,

he was a pain in the butt apparently

so she was already the fourth person

who Mr. Aziz had hired to take care of his son,

the three persons before her couldn't take Can's behaviour and quit.

Sanem starting to talk to him, trying to relax him

and told him a bit about herself,

that she lived with her parents and sister

on the other side of Istanbul and that she loved living there,

in the malhalla.

That she loved her place on the rocks which always

comforts her when she was upset.

"Now enough about me, tell me about you?"

Can still remained silent, she looked at his face

and could tell he wasn't annoyed with her

but still preferred not to speak.

"I'm gonna make some tea, would you like some?"

Can refused to say anything so

she went to the kitchen to prepare the tea.

When she returned she almost expected him to be gone

but he still sat at the same spot.

Sanem stood for him and said, "Whether you like it

or not, I brought you a cup also"

Again he remained silent but took the cup of tea,

when she barely heard a "thank you" leaving his throat.

She smiled a little, it's gonna take time, taking small steps.

Sanem began to explain to him what her intentions where,

she was gonna come by every day for a couple of hours,

trying to teach him everything he would benefit from,

before she could continue, Can bursted out

"I don't need your pity!"

Right away she answered back "That works for me,

because I'm not going to give you any!"

Not anticipating this, he again went silent.

Sanem had dealed with all this kind of emotions before

with her previous clients, she knew it was his self-defense

to treat her this way, it wasn't personal.

It was sometimes though to hear what they were saying

but she knew it was a way to drive her away.

"Again, Mr. Can, I'm not going anywhere so you can treat me

like crap or you can treat me like a person"

And again, she barely heard him

but there came an apology out of his mouth.

Another little step, she smiled and tomorrow,

hopefully he was gonna take a big step,

she was gonna bring her secret weapon,

Sanem wondered how he would react.

Trying to continue to explain to him what her plans were,

Can turned his head away and grumbled

that he didn't need to hear this now.

"I'm here for YOU, so tell me what YOU do need"

He threw his sunglasses away, stood up, bursting out in anger

"If you're here for me, I need you to be honest

with me, look at me, what do you see!"

For the first time seeing him, standing up,

Sanem saw what a tall, robust man he was,

he stood right in front of her, totally in anger.

If she didn't know better, you could be afraid of him,

Sanem knew better and even in the short time she spend with him,

she knew he never would physically hurt her.

Mr. Aziz, who had watched them from the house wanted to approach

but Sanem signalled to him that it was not necessary

and he went back inside.

Sanem's small hands reached his face, he flinched a little by her touch,

and she said with a calm voice

"I'm gonna tell you what I see, I see a very handsome man

but also a very, very sad man,

I see a man that's going through the worst time of his life.

A man that thinks he's broken, a man who thinks he isn't a man anymore

but I also see this, yes, you can think you've been broken

but you definitely haven't been defeated!

I see a man who has a future,

a different one than he had anticipated but still a future,

I see a man who has so many potential"

All Can could do was yell at Sanem.

"All I know is, that's my life is over!

And if you can't see that, than your blind!

Just like me...............!!!"
