Bond between Brothers

Can took a deep breath just before 

the footsteps stopped and he heard, 

a familiar voice which he hadn't heard in months.

"Brother"

Something happened inside Can 

when he heard Emre's voice, something he didn't expect, 

his anger, his hurt, 

his angst he felt when he understood 

that this black world he now saw would be his future,

rushed back into him.

Can's darkness surfaced again.

His one hand was holding Sanem's hand 

but the other was clenched into a fist.

This all happened in seconds 

and when Can heard Faith standing up, 

he immediately spoke to her, 

to prevent her from jumping off the couch,

"Faith, stay girl, it's okay, it's going to be alright"

He was not only calming Faith down but also himself.

The dog went laying again.

Can got surprised by himself, getting those dark feelings again 

while he was willing and ready to ask Emre for forgiveness.

Sanem, who had felt his body tense was glad that he was the one 

who calmed himself down, with a little help from Faith.

The dog had, with her little movement, let Can know

that she was there for him, to let his good side appear,

to "talk" some sense into him.

Can had a little chuckle inside, the two women

in his life would set him straight alright! 

"My love, I will introduce myself to your brother 

and I will make all of us some new tea, okay?"

Can gripped Sanem's hand first tighter to bring it to his lips, 

kissing the back of her hand and then released it. 

Sanem gave him a kiss on his cheek and caressed his beard.

He knew Sanem made the excuse about making tea 

because she wanted him to talk to his brother 

without that Emre would feel uncomfortable

but let Can know at the same time 

that if he needed her she was close by.

Emre, who stood still at the same spot saw 

all this happening before his eyes 

and he saw in those few moments
