Ugh, I'm sorry this took so long! I told someone it would be out last weekend and now I feel so bad! I had a good excuse before for taking so long, but the last couple of days have just been being distracted by video games ~_~ I'll do better, I promise!

SIXTEEN

Ochako regretted the turtleneck. April was too warm for these kinds of clothes, even when it wasn't that far into the day. For her at least. Katsuki was wearing a hoodie and looking annoyingly comfortable. She didn't understand how that man could always feel that cold. It wasn't fair to blame him for her discomfort, but who wanted to be fair? She hadn't really been thinking of him when she walked around in her pajamas, so it wasn't like she was fishing for compliments from him, but the man didn't have to complain about it.

She slanted a glance at him. Katsuki was strolling along next to her, hands in his pockets, completely unconcerned. Even his relaxed face looked mildly antagonistic. It was honestly kind of surprising that he did so well in the popularity polls. He was definitely likable, but it took awhile to get him to show you that side of himself.

"Why are you staring at my face? It's creepy."

And sometimes even when you knew him it was hard to remember that he could be likable....

"I was thinking about how you look cranky all the time."

Katuski's face switched from the mildly antagonistic "relaxed" face to an insulted and indignant face. "The fuck? No I don't."

"See what your eyebrows are doing?" Ochako poked her finger between his eyes where his brows had drawn together. "That's a classic cranky look."

He grabbed her hand and pulled it away from his face and narrowed his eyes at her. "And I wonder who made my face like this."

"God?"

Katsuki let out a surprised laugh, which lightened up his entire face. This was the side that would make him popular. She found herself wondering which other people had seen this side of him—and was surprised by the jealousy that popped up. It was dumb. Of course other people had seen all sides to him. He was in his thirties. And it was no big deal if they had. It didn't make them any less special to witness herself. Knuckles lightly wrapping on the top of her head brought her thoughts back to them in front of her. His smile was pulling into a grin. "So, since God was the one who made me like this, have you become more pious recently?"

Before she could stop herself, Ochako rolled her eyes. It was probably rude, but she couldn't stifle the response. No one did ego quite the way Bakugo Katsuki did. "If I have been more pious recently, it hasn't been paying off as fully as I would have hoped," she said dryly, thinking of how Katsuki hadn't seemed quite so...forward...recently.

"Oh?" The tone of voice when he said that single word made desire shoot down her, followed immediately by a blush the climbed up her next and into her face. Had she really thought that she might be able to follow Mina's advice and take the offensive role here, to whatever defense Katsuki seemed to be playing? She glanced over at Katsuki and the easy, inviting leer he gave back to her had Ochako snapping her face back forward, growing even more red. Ochako tried to step away but was drawn up short. Surprised, she looked behind her.

Katsuki was still holding her left hand from when he had grabbed it away from his face. She gave a gentle tug, but he just cocked a blonde brow at her. Sighing, Ochako said, "Katsuki, may I please have my hand back?"

He hummed a bit, looking at her hand. After rubbing his thumb across her wrist a few times more than was strictly necessary, he shook his head. "Finders keepers."
