Chapter Six

Tony groans as JARVIS woke him up, "What's so important that you're waking me up at 2 in the morning?" He yells at the AI.

"There appears to be a person on the front doorstep. She matches a missing persons that was recently filed in the last month." The AI spoke, "She appears to be extremely weak and is blindfolded." The AI adds

Tony frowned, going to the entrance of Stark Tower, paling, He opens the door and lifting the young girl into his arms, carrying her inside.

Jasmine felt herself being lifted and carried in somewhere. She could feel herself being placed on something soft and her blindfold being carefully taken off.

"Jasmine, right?" She hears a voice ask her.

Jasmine blinks her eyes a few times, before nodding. "Yes?" She says shakily.

"My name is Tony Stark, I'm a friend of Peter's." Tony says gently, looking at the young girl in his apartment, "JARVIS, call Pepper Potts and tell her to come over right away. Have her pick up Peter." He instructs.

Jasmine looks at him, fear in her eyes.

"What did they do to you?" Tony frowns, wrapping a blanket around the small teenager.

"They wanted to know Spider-Man's identity but I refused to tell them." Jasmine whispers shakily, "They kept me locked up, beating me. I had two options to leave." She says, "Get injected by three needles, each with something different, or tell them Spider-Man's identity." She starts sobbing, "I-I refused to tell them Spider-Man's identity so I let them inject me so I could leave." She sobs out.

"Tony? Why'd you call us he-" Pepper stops mid sentence, seeing the girl sobbing into the blanket Tony wrapped around her. "What did you do Tony?" She gasps

"I didn't do anything. She was dropped off and JARVIS woke me up. I brought her in here and had JARVIS call you. Where's Peter?" Tony asks.

"Right here Mr. Stark." Peter says, yawning, bags under his eyes as he walked into the room, he hadn't slept, he constantly was out searching for Jasmine. He blamed himself.

"Peter, I need you to come here and confirm who this is." Tony says, waving the boy over.

"I should be out looking for Jasmine, Mr. Stark. I don't have time for this." Peter frowns, walking over to look at the girl.

"Jasmine!" Peter stares at her, his eyes wide as he hugs her gently, tearing up, "I thought I lost you, I thought I'd never see you again. I'm so sorry for ignoring you before, I shouldn't have, oh my god, I'm just so glad you're alright." Peter held her close, his arms around her protectively.

Jasmine curled into him, slowly relaxing, knowing he was safe. "Peter..." She whispers, "Aunt Kylie...Uncle Brandon...are they okay?" She asks, tears in her eyes as she worries about others before herself.

Peter smiles, holding her close, "Everyone is okay..." He reassures.

"Peter, I need Pepper to take her to the infirmary to be checked over." Tony says after whispering with Pepper for a little bit, he had deliberately left out that she had been injected with something, not wanting Peter to worry. "You can't go with them." He adds when Peter stood up.

Pepper walked over, gently helping Jasmine to her feet and towards the infirmary a few floors below.

"Kid, I need you to go find her aunt and uncle, bring them here. Don't tell them anything though." Tony instructs.

Jasmine walked quietly with Pepper. Her steps were unsure and nervous.

"You're safe now." Pepper says softly, walking with the scared girl, "No one will hurt you while you're here, and Tony is sending for your aunt and uncle." She explains gently.

Jasmine nodded silently, walking next to the strawberry blonde.

Pepper nods, entering a code in as a door opens to the infirmary. "They're going to take a little bit of blood to try to figure out what they injected you with." She explains, "And they'll clean up your injuries." She adds

Jasmine nods quietly, sitting in a chair designed to take blood.

A doctor comes in, carefully taking blood to run tests.

Pepper stayed by her side, holding her hand gently.

Jasmine lets the doctor check over the wounds on her face. She flinches as he disinfects the cut on her face, stitching it closed.

"There's nothing I can do for the bruises, but that cut will heal into a scar." The doctor informs.

Jasmine nods numbly.

"And I'll be prescribing heavy sleeping meds because you won't be sleeping right for a while." The doctor says.
