***** Trigger Warning regarding a possible rape*****
Jasmine locks up the bookstore, her fingers shivering as she pushed the key into the lock hole and turned it. Shoving the key in her jacket pocket she pulls her jacket around herself tighter, shivering as she started the short trek home.
Softly singing to herself as she walks through the park, she doesn't hear the foot steps crunching in the snow behind her.
I heard that you've been
Self-medicating in the quiet of your room,
Your sweet, suburban tomb.
And if you need a friend,
I'll help you stitch up your wounds.I heard that you've been
Having some trouble finding your place in the world.
I know how much that hurts,
But if you need a friend
Then please just say the wordYou've come this far,
You're all cleaned up,
You've made a mess again,
There's no more trying,
Time to sort yourself outJasmine screams as someone suddenly grabs her from behind, covering her mouth to muffle the screams for help.
The man smirked, making sure never to let her see his face as he shoved her face first into the snow, holding her hair to control her head as he pulled down her pants before his own. Suddenly he let go of her, and landed on his bare ass in the snow.
"I suggest you let go of her and leave." A voice says, jumping down from a building, swinging down gracefully from a web.
"S-Spider-Man!" The man recognizes him instantly, pulling up his pants as he hurriedly stood up, "I'm sorry! It won't happen again!" He ran off.
Spider-Man kneels by the terrified girl, "Are you alright?" He asks worriedly, helping the girl up, his breath hitching in his throat as he recognized her.
"I'm fine. Thank you for rescuing me." Jasmine says shakily, pulling her jeans up again, her face bright red from the cold snow, her mascara running down her face with her tears, "I should get home." She adds, "My aunt will be worried if I'm not back by eleven." She says
Spider-Man frowns, "Let me walk you to your building." He says softly, "Or I can even swing you there." He adds, "Get you there quicker so you can warm up sooner."
Jasmine looks at him, "Would you?" She asks shyly, blushing as Spider-Man grabbed her waist and nodded, swinging towards her apartment complex.
After a few minutes Spider-Man landed in front of the complex, "Here you go ma'am." He says, "Stay safe." He says before swinging away.
Jasmine walks inside, taking the elevator to her floor before unlocking her apartment door and stepping inside, glad her aunt and uncle were asleep. Creeping to her room she grabs her pajamas before going to take a shower.
After warming up in the shower Jasmine pulls on her black pajama bottoms and Peter's sweatshirt that she stole one night.
Walking towards her room she hears a light knock on the front door, looking through the peephole she saw a disheveled brown haired boy. Opening the door she looks at him.
"Peter?" She asks, whispering, "What are you doing here? It's almost midnight." She notes, not realizing her hands were still shaking from the attack earlier.
"I wanted to apologize for not walking you home the last few weeks, I've been behind on homework and I finally caught up tonight. I can start picking you up from work again if you want." He says, then frowns, "Why are you shaking?" He asks worriedly.
"It's nothing." Jasmine quickly lies, "I tripped into a snow bank, had trouble getting out, eventually Spider-Man saw me and helped me out of it." She lies easily, "Guess I'm still warming up from it."
Peter frowns, seeming not to believe her, "Okay...." he says slowly.
"I'd love if you started picking me up again though." Jasmine interrupts his thoughts, "I'm heading to bed now though, we've got school in the morning." She adds
Peter nods, "I'll see you in the morning." He smiles at her before walking to his open apartment door, "You're still welcome over whenever by the way." he says, "Aunt May misses you."
Jasmine closes the door before going to her bedroom and curling up in her comforter, drifting off into a sleep of what could have happened.
Jasmine jolts awake as her alarm clock screamed at her. Groaning, she turns it off, staring at the time tiredly.
Walking to her dresser she pulls on her outfit for the day, black ripped jeans and a plain gray tank top with a black and red flannel over it. She also had one of Peter's zip up hoodies on. Looking at herself in the body length mirror on the back of her door she readjusts the pant's ripped-ness a little bit to hide a few bruises from the night before. They were more on the back of her thighs but there was a part of a finger that went around the front.
Sighing, Jasmine changes pants, pulling on a regular pair of black jeans with no tears except one knee.
Stepping out of her room she heads to the kitchen to get a bowl of cereal, "Peter, why are you in my kitchen? Eating my cereal?" She asks, grabbing a bowl and the cereal she wanted.
"Kylie let me in before she left for work. I was about to knock to come over before school." Peter explained. "You look like you didn't even sleep." He says bluntly
"Gee thanks, Parker." Jasmine rolls her eyes, adding milk to her bowl of Lucky Charms. "I haven't done my make up yet." She adds, "And I did sleep." She informs, 'Just not well' she thinks to herself.
"Well eat up, we gotta head out to school." Peter shrugs. "Is that my hoodie?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes it is." Jasmine nods, eating her cereal.
"I've been looking for it for weeks! How long have you had it?" Peter frowns
"A few months." Jasmine shrugs, finishing her cereal before popping her bowl in the sink. "I just gotta grab my jacket." She says, going to grab her jacket. "Ready!" She grins after pulling on a pair of combat boots.
"I don't want to go to Wood Work Class." Jasmine whines, leaning against Peter as they walked.
"You gotta." Peter laughs, walking with her as they take their seats next to each other in the back, "It's our last class then we're free to go home." He points out.
Jasmine chuckles, "Well I gotta go to work for a few hours to cover Carla's shift, but then I can go home. Before dark for once." She smiles.
"I'll still come pick you up." Peter says quickly, Jasmine could hear worry in his voice.
"Why do you sound worried?" She questions
"It's nothing." Peter shrugs, glancing at her as he started working on his wooden die.
