"Harley..." I gasped as everyone surrounded me, keeping him at a distance.

"I knew you were different... Your father was definitely right about one thing, you are your mother's child." Ignoring the drawn fangs inches from his face he continues to stare at me and only me.

So it wasn't an accident, Harley was scouting me out waiting for the perfect time to reveal himself while standing in plain sight.

"My mother told me of Issac's mighty wings, they're similar to yours. Much bigger than any average fairy." he says.

"How did you find me? I have a cloaking potion." I wasn't afraid, more captivated than anything. Now I see a resemblance of Issac in Harley's features. The intense eyes were a trait they inherited from their mother Valoria.

"I watched you every second of every minute, I have never seen someone as hypnotizing as you. So everywhere you went, I went." He casually opens the fridge, grabbing a blood bag not bothering to tear off the tip he bites right through the bag allowing the blood to drip into his waiting mouth.

Charlie coughs. "A hot guy stalking you... Well, aren't you lucky." Axel gives her the ultimate death stare.

"Your father and mother trained me after my own father was killed in a race battle, my mother was still comatose after Issac was murdered. So they took me as their responsibility, teaching me all they know so one day when they bared a child, I could help and teach you all they've imprinted onto me."

My parents raised Harley to be my protector?

"Can everyone please retract their fangs?" Harley sits down on a stool. "I've been watching you ever since you were born, but since Luciville and Quinn taken the task I've taken time to brush up on a few skills and keep your tracks hidden from Julian and fairy radical conservatives."

"You've been watching me since I was born? But you don't look..." I say questioningly.

"My father died long after Quinn left the nest, but I've heard quite a bit about her antics from her brother." He eyes the bag. "I feed more than ever, blood slows  down the aging exponentially. Ask Quinn how old she is." Harley smugly demands.

I turn to Quinn, she looks embarrassed. "Uhhh... A couple decades." she claimed.

"More like 120 years old." Adis chokes.

Uncle Axel's head whips in her direction. "You told me you were 76 years old." He bleats. "All this time I thought you were in your 70's!"

"Wait-a-go, mom pretending to be 76 for decades just to bag dad." Charlie commented poking her mom's side. "Blood has done, you justice."

"Oh, shut it Charlie, my age says 120 but my ass still says 22 years old." Quinn gloats.

The intensity in the room lessens, an array of  translucent color lingers around everyone's body. I wave my hand over them.

"You're picking up everyone's aura now, you'll learn to read them soon enough." Harley licks the blood off of his plump lips. "Your senses are coming back ten fold it's going to give you a little mind fuck at first. My mother told me how freaked out Issac was when it happened to him, unfortunately he had no one to guide him, but a book she said a great one gave her."

He was right, I can suddenly hear hearts pumping blood, lungs filtering air... The sweet sounds of Harley lapping up blood.

"If Issac was mad how do we know if you aren't as mad as him?" Adis accuses Harley.

"Issac didn't go mad... Issac woke up one day from the facade our mother fed him all his life and he began questioning her. He wanted to know about his father and his whereabouts, not being able to continue the lies, she told him everything. Every single detail down to the birth. Issac didn't have his wings or fangs at the time either, he actually didn't know what he was. Mother said Issac wasn't the same after that day until Mother went to wake him one day and his blood was everywhere, she thought her eldest was slaughtered in his sleep, but it was actually him coming of age." He takes another slow sip of the blood, eyes never leaving mine.

"His wings were so powerful they ripped through the tiny shack of a house, she said. It caused attention, people began to question them even more. She told me the great one who gave her the book said to give Issac the book when the blood was ready, so she did."

"Issac must have learned all the spells from the book, how else would he be able to do the things he did." Adis says.

"But what fairy would give such a book to a vampire without knowing what he was?"

Quinn adds.

Adis' brows furrow. "Dark spells aren't learned! They're modified to meet the needs of the fairy, it all makes sense!"

"Issac found out that Julian was his-" Harley's attention is now to the figure in the living room. Almost inaudibly, he whispers. "Mother..."
