I read over the text, what's wrong there making it sound like she died. I realised no one was home when I got out of the shower, which was one hour ago. It's 1:51am.

Calling...

"Hey Lauren what's up?" I say through the phone as I put away my shirt, it's been a hectic day. And I still haven't slept, what has the world come too? I hear heavy breathing from the other side of the phone.

"J-John kenzie, she's hurt! Kenzie she s-he" my heart stops, what?

"What!" I yell through the phone. When she doesn't reply i just shut on her and I run down stairs putting my shoes on, not bothering to put my coat on. It could be thundering and I'd go out with no coat for her.

I tried to make it sound romantic but..

Not the time.

"Oh god" I whisper as I start running down to the girls, where I see Maddie standing outside with her hand crossed tears running down her face. Lauren and Annie speaking to her but she doesn't seem to be listening. "Guys?!" I yell when I see Hayden walk out.

They all look up at me. It was scary.

"Y-you! I told you to go see if she's okay it's your fault!" Maddie screams at me, I stare at her for a second, wait why is she here?

"M-Maddie" the voice croaks cracking abit, I turn around to find Kenzie sitting there her eyes puffed up, her normally soft big lips are buffed out and bruised. She was wearing a huge over sized jumper and baggy joggers, as if she's trying to hide away all her skin. Her hair was down tangly and..weird. "It's not his fault okay! It's mine, he didn't know. You can't blame him, you can blame anyone but me. Now can we go?" She says all at once.

Woah woah woah where does she think she's going?

"Woah, guys what's happening Kenzie why you leaving Maddie what you talking about and why you here!" I whisper yell, this is getting annoying. It's like everyone knew about it but me, even Brandon hazel and Sophia were sitting there watching. "Guys?".

Kenzie snaps her head up at me, here eyes oh my god her eyes the normal happy and cheerful brown eyes were replaced with betrayal and sadness with a hint of anger in them. "Let's go Maddie"she says more firmly although her voice was shakey.

I run to her and grab her hand, she jumps back flinching. My eyes snap at hers, did she juts flinch from my touch? "K-kenz?" I whisper to her. She hold the place I just grabbed and rubbed on it like I just burned her skin.

"I'm sorry.. I really am. I have to go, I won't be here anymore" she says lightly to me, tears escaping from her eyes that I wish I can just wipe away with thumbs. What if she flinches again?

I don't want to feel the pain of her backing away from me again.

I didn't notice she was walking towards the exit until Lauren started crying and running after her screaming sorry, I still don't know what happened. Carson stands there, his eyes cold and closed off while Hayden was just standing there staring at Annie who's face was filled with tears and sweat marks. What's she crying about?

I run after Kenzie, my legs workin harder than they ever have. I need to know what happened, even if I had to run years to break her secret. I couldn't help but think, was it her dad? No no his not that stupid to do it now right!
