You were only half awake. Loaded into the van and on the road.

God this was going to be agony.

You sat in the back with Casey, she was passed out. Brandon, his girlfriend Selina, and Kyle sat in the middle seats with your parents up front.

You called Matt, headphones in.

He lay in bed, his hair was messy and he had to turn over to grab his glasses. It was an adorable sight.

"Hey Matt." You said, yawning right after.

The yawn was contagious, spreading to Matt.

"Morning sleepy." He greeted.

"So I found out where we're going. Down to Glendale California to see some family or something." You said, not sounding excited.

"GLENDALE?" He exclaimed.

You nodded.

"THATS WHERE I LIVE!" Matt yelled.

"You're kidding."

"I'm not!"

You smiled a wide smile. You were going to meet him in person. For real.

Matt had the same expression plastered on his face. A look of pure glee.

You pulled your blankets up over you and angled yourself into a more comfortable position on the seat.

"It's a 13 hour drive from where I live. So it'll be a while until I actually get to see you. But I promise I'll come see you first." You said.

Matt squealed. His dreams were coming true.

Matt rambled on about things the two of you would do together. Walks, walks at night, stupid things, one of you would probably end up dying, etc. As he talked, once again you fell asleep.

Matt ending the call, leaving him to prepare himself for your arrival.
