eight o' clock rolled around in no time, you helped each other pick out outfits and got each other ready.

"We're headed to a party! See you guys later!" You called to your parents as you walked out the door.

Staring down the sidewalk, you saw his lanky figure approaching.

"Hey ratthew!" You exclaimed.

"What's poppin' this your cousin?" He asked.

"Yup! Matt, this is (cousin's name). (cousin's name) this is Matt!" You introduced the two.

(cousin's name) looked speechless. She had a deep blush on her face and her eyes were blank, staring off into Matt.

"She okay?" He whispered to you.

"Yeah, just a second." You sighed.

You grabbed her hand and lead her down the street in the direction of Ryan's house. You and Matt exchanged smiles every once and a while, you complimented his outfit.

"The belt is an HDMI cable." He said. "Couldn't find an actual one."

You giggled. "Very creative!"

Matt lead you two up to the door, people were already inside and voices filled the house. Matt let himself in like this was his own home, the two of you following.

You grabbed a drink and began to make small talk with Matt.

"So... anything interesting up with you?" You asked awkwardly.

"Not really, just talking to a girl I like." He answered.

"Oh? That sounds nice." You said. Completely oblivious.

"Do you know who I'm talking about?" He asked.

"I don't know any girls from your school Matt." You sighed.

"It's you you idiot." He teased.

"Wait wait wait wait wait. Wait a second. Hold the phone. You like Me?" You asked in a very surprised tone.

"Yeah idiot." He said ruffling your hair.

You chugged the rest of your drink and put your cup down on the table behind you.

"Does that mean you wouldn't mind if I did this?" You leaned up to kiss the tall boy, just quickly.

He seemed taken off guard, he even stumbled back a little.

You guys had been friends for months, known everything about one another, Matt never thought the two of you would meet and that his feelings would finally have a chance to blossom.
