'Texas....

A brand new chapter in my life....'

Amaya thought walking out from the arrivals of Dallas airport holding mother's hand. A gush of warm air blew away her hair when they stepped outside.

"Uncle Jung is waiting for us." Yoon Hee told her daughter while directing the girl forward.

Jung Hyuk observed the identical beauty shared by the three ladies walking towards him.

"Hello everyone, Welcome to America!" Jung Hyuk greeted Amaya, her mother, and grandmother.

Amaya Lee spent twenty years of her life in South Korea and decided to enter into a music college in America to explore more about classical music. She was there not only to learn but to get the best treatment for her mother who was diagnosed to have leukaemia a year ago. Amaya was determined to provide the care of experts to her mother who was fighting with the disease deliberately. For the reason that Yoon Hee was both mother and father in her life since she was young giving up on this one special person was not anywhere in her mind. Her uncle, mother's elder brother who lived in Texas arranged everything they needed to settle in the new country.

After a while, the car with three passengers came to a stop in front of a luxurious house. Amaya's aunt and cousins rushed outside to welcome them. It was quite a joyful reunion for them after many years.

"Amaya, I want to introduce you to this young lady who will be learning violin like you in your college. She is a very good friend of my daughter. Lanya this is Amaya." Uncle Jung took Amaya's hand and gave it to Lanya smiling at her.

"Hi, I'm Lanya. Nice to meet you, Amaya. I hope we can be good friends in the future."

"Nice to meet you too Lanya. I'm glad I already have a friend even before we are at college. Is it far from here?"

"We have two and half hour flight. It will be colder than here but the surrounding is beautiful." Lanya went on describing but pause by Amaya's sigh. So she started again and this time tried to reassure Amaya telling she will be always there for her in the new environment.

"You are quite fluent in English than I thought." Lanya tried to change the direction of their chat.

"My mother wanted me to learn English since I was little so I wouldn't miss every opportunity the world has to offer."

"Now you can use all the knowledge and explore the world!"

"If I say correctly the world of music!" said Amaya joining Lanya's laugh.

After few days Amaya's family, her uncle and Lanya flew to the little town Cleveland near the great lake Erie where their music institute was situated to commence their studies in the Autumn term. Uncle Jung has arranged a house near the college for them and a hospital for Yoon hee's proposed treatments too.

"I'm thankful that you are staying with us Lanya. I thought your parents must have prepared somewhere different." Amaya said while walking in their new garden with her friend.

"They don't have time for me now. Both of them have their own families so I was left behind to do whatever I want. Mr. Jung gave me a roof over my head for a few years. You don't have to worry about me. I'm happy to be with you here." Lanya replied.

"I'll try to be a good friend to you." Amaya tried to comfort her in case there were any shadows of sadness.

"Tomorrow is a new day. We'll try to do our best together." Lanya smiled and took Amaya's hand.

Amaya nodded to agree with Lanya.

'Yes, Tomorrow.... It's going to be another new page........'
