"Lanya, my dear may I talk to you for a second?" Yoon Hee came into the room while Amaya was in the garden.

"Of course Aunty Yoon Hee, come on in."

"How's your work in college now?" She asked sitting on the bed facing Lanya who was reading at her table by the window.

"I'm doing well, Thank you, aunty."

"Does Amaya have any problem these days? She seems thinking alone a lot recently. I'm worried that she may be bothered by my upcoming bone marrow transplantation."

"No, she wants you to go ahead with it quickly. She's happy thinking you will be recovering after the procedure. I think it's because of our performance in three months time. She wants to do it perfectly!"

"It's good to hear that. Thank you Lanya."

After Yoon Hee left Lanya decided to talk to Amaya about the matter. Even though she said it's about the performance, they've been preparing well for it. So she was certain Amaya's worry was not concerning it. 'What could be her worry? Is it about Kevin after heard his voice? Does she really like him yet trying to hide it?' She reasoned out, looking at the girl who was in deep thought sitting on the garden bench alone.

"Amaya, don't you have anything to talk to me about?" Lanya asked when they settle on the usual bench under a cherry tree near their practice room.

"What do you mean?"

"What are you thinking so hard in every time you put the violin aside? Your mother also asked me."

"Did she notice it? Is it that obvious?"

"Yes, you didn't like to be alone before but now you want to be alone always."

"My mind is in turbulence these days, so I'm trying to calm it down. The problem is the difficulty to do that."

"Why? It can't be due to the performance or do you worry about aunty Yoon Hee's transplantation?"

"No, I'm happy about the transplantation. Mother will be fine after that. Our practices are going well so I don't bother about it either. It's me, I'm the problem."

"I don't understand. Why are you a problem?"

"When Kevin is around and when I hear his voice I can't concentrate at all. I'm afraid someone will notice my change but it makes me even more nervous. I can't understand what's wrong with me."

"Do you like him? I know you like his voice and music but what about the boy?"

"No.. How can I even dream of liking him. He's like a prince. All most all the girls in the college would line up to date him."

"But he is going to date the girl he likes. Until now he doesn't have any."

"Exactly! He is not going to look at me. He'll select the girl he likes, so we don't need to waste our time talking about it. I just need to try and calm my mind down."

"Is that what you really think? Don't your heart needs to know who he is? What he is thinking and what's his heart's desire? Isn't that your trouble?"

With Lanya's words, Amaya immersed in her mixed feelings. Lanya waited patiently for a moment trying to understand what's going on in her mind.

"Amaya, don't you want to know about him? I can be your eyes and let you know. It doesn't mean that you are trying to date him. Relax and let the time solve your troubles."

"Shall we go now?" Amaya stood up to avoid further conversation and Lanya didn't have a choice but to walk along with her. She decided to pay attention to Kevin's attitude towards Amaya while entering the room.

By the time they reached the boys were comfortably settled in their usual spots. Theo ran his fingers leisurely on the piano when  Alex and Ryan were whispering to each other while tuning the guitars. Kevin who crossed arms on the chest was leaning back on the chair staring at the door. Lanya noticed his always stern look became gentle while chasing Amaya who was trying to find her chair and violin all by her self. He didn't break his gaze even whilst tuning the guitar and playing it with others.

Lanya observed him during the practices only to see his frequent quick glances to Amaya avoiding other eyes. To her surprise whenever she does it her eyes met with Alex's repeatedly. While the sweet melody flowing, those blue eyes tried to tell something Lanya's didn't understand, to her gray eyes. 'What are these boys up to?' She wondered without interrupting the voice of her violin.

"Amaya, I have something to tell you." Lanya broke the silence when they were lying on the beds that night.

"What is it?" Amaya asked sleepily.

"It's about Alex. I noticed him spying on me this afternoon."

"Spying on you? That can't be, he is a nice guy. Maybe he is interested in you." Amaya suggested turning towards Lanya's bed chasing away the sleepiness.

"What? He is friendly with everyone and it's no difference to me too."

"You never know for sure. By the way, tell me about him. I like to know what kind of boy is Alex."

"He is a tall, muscular boy with a light complexion. On either side of his straight nose are clear sky blue eyes with softness in the gaze and has a left side dimple that crinkles when smile with his full lips. All of it is framed by thick blonde curls that have a thousand shades of gold. He is handsome in my eyes."

"You sound excited to talk about him, don't you?"

"It's interesting to paint a word picture of him so I realized how handsome he is."

"We'll wait and see what he has in his mind. If he wants to date you what do you think?"

"He seems a pleasant trustworthy guy hence I'm going to think about it."

"That's a good idea!"

"But Kevin is the most handsome out of the three. But do you know he is totally different from the others?"

"Why different?"

"He has an Asian appearance similar to you. His curls are midnight black against the fair flawless skin which thrown back into a small ponytail at the top of his head. Hair from the slightly layered cut isn't included in it but falling to his neck. The small dark brown eyes with a sharp look frame by graceful brows. He has a well-defined chin and nose. The perfect upward curve of his soft lips makes the most angelic smile I've ever seen. God had molded him just to spoil our eyes!"

"Is he an Asian?" Amaya asked surprised by the details.

"His father is an American but I heard mother is a Korean lady. He takes after his mother I guess."

"How do you know?"

"Alex told me. You do like to hear about him, don't you?"

"No, I don't!" Amaya replied lying down again closing the eyes.

"Amaya, I'm not finished yet. Don't go to sleep. I spotted another fascinating thing today. Kevin's eyes didn't stop following you the whole time we were together this afternoon. I only noticed it because I was looking but I think it is no difference in the other days too. I think the truth, he is captivated by you."

"Good to know about it. I can be happy that I'm a charming person in his eyes as you say. But that's all. Even though he is acting like that I don't see anything special. If I try to think further and develop a bond it is not going to do anything good. I will only be a burden to him. I think we should stop talking about this now." Amaya cuddled under her blanket ending their chat.

Lanya couldn't see Amaya's face in the darkness of the room still the sadness of her voice was obvious to her. She thought about the days ahead of them closing her eyes.
