"Hi, are you Kevin?" A glamorous tall girl with blond hair greeted Kevin with a charming smile when he walked into his house one evening after his college.

"Hi.." He greeted, trying to figure out who she was.

"Here he's back. Son, this is Mr. Taylor, my business partner in France but now he is going to move here. She is his daughter Krystal." Brian, Kevin's father, introduced the visitors.

"Do you play guitar? Krystal had piano lessons for years too." Mr. Taylor pointed to the leather case hanging on Kevin's shoulder.

"Yes, I'm following an undergraduate course in performance art."

"That's great, do you like to compose?"

"Yes, Mr. Taylor. I'm planning to do a composition degree in graduate school after this."

"Wow, that's fantastic. Can you teach me to play the guitar?" Krystal asked in a sweet voice.

"Sorry, I'm not good at teaching." was Kevin's straight answer.

"But you can try, please.... I really want to learn. Please...." As Krystal kept on begging Brian suggested Kevin teach her in his leisure time.

That evening Krystal was bewitched by the charms of the boy in his twenties who crossed paths with her for the first time. She just pasted her eyes on him the whole evening even though she was unable to handle his glare.

Since that day, every weekend, she came to his house with the excuse of learning the guitar. But the girl didn't make an effort to learn anything at all. While Kevin was concentrating on teaching, she fixed her eyes, not on the guitar but his handsome face, strong biceps or long fingers moving diligently on the strings. During the lesson, Kevin had to draw her attention back to music notes several times. Unfortunately, Krystal's mind was set to another task not to the music, making Kevin's effort useless.

Even though Kevin was not talkative, not cheerful or friendly towards her, she didn't give up. She just hung around him, and by the time pass, she started developing feelings for him. She admired his each and every move, all most all the habits and every single feature of him. Eventually, she began to dream of a future with that special boy.

Krystal's frequent visits earned Kevin's mother Mishil's favor to her. Both of them had shared interests and a lot to talk about. They cooked, did gardening, went shopping or to the cinema together. Mishil began to admire Krystal as her daughter because she always wished for one.

Being an Asian lady Mishil always believed she could decide her son's future by herself in the same way parents did for her. Therefore she began to encourage Krystal to spend more time with Kevin and learn about him more, keeping her in mind as Kevin's bride to be.

She was the person who suggested Krystal applied to the music undergraduate studies when Kevin selected the graduate school even if she was interested in Law. That was the reason she was in the same college as Kevin but in different learning schemes, studying for both music and law degree programs. With the blessings of Mishil Krystal kept on chasing Kevin, almost becoming a nuisance to him.

She didn't realize that the reason for Kevin's resistance towards her was arising in his cold heart because she was unable to open the secret door to enter. Krystal viewed the sudden interest Kevin showed to Amaya was the falt of that third person came between them. Day by day, her hatred towards Amaya grew and came to a climax on the camping trip.

Until then Krystal only tried to stop Kevin go out for Amaya, but after he neglected her on the final camping night, she decided to have a frank chat with her rival girl. She waited a few weeks for the right time, a moment when Amaya was on her own.

As usual, on Thursdays, Amaya spent her morning in the practice room while her companions have their routine tutoring on music performance. Krystal hurried along the hallway to music chambers following her morning lecture. She wanted to meet Amaya alone before others join for afternoon music practices.

"Amaya, I need to talk to you." Krystal stormed in without even bothered to tap on the door.

Amaya, startled by the sudden entry of the unknown visitor, stood up near the piano holding on to it.

"May I know who you are? Is everything alright?" She inquired, trying to calm herself down.

"You should definitely know me after everything you've done. Don't act like you have no idea about anything. I'm Krystal; now you ought to know why I came."

"I'm sorry, but I'm clueless about what you are saying. Please tell me, What is it?"

"Don't be childish. You are the one who forced Kevin to leave me and be with you. I'm warning you, get out of his life right now!"

"Krystal, I'm only completing a task given by our tutor with him, and it is going to end in a few weeks. Very sorry for the wrong impression but I'm not forcing him to do anything."

"I want you to stop everything you are doing with him at this moment and disappear from his life."

"I can't do that, because I have a responsibility for my task. Besides, it's a group work, so I'm not able to interfere with it alone."

"What did you say?" Krystal flung to Amaya and pushed her unable to control the rage anymore.

Even before realizing what happened, Amaya lost her balance, bumped on the side of the piano and fell along with the glass vase placed on top of it. With a smash, glass pieces scattered all around the girl who was on the floor.

At the same time, the door opened; Kevin, who was early for the practices entered with a surprised look on his face. His eyes caught Amaya who fell on the floor with a bleeding arm. He dropped the guitar on to the closest chair and rushed to her without even bothered to look at Krystal.

"Kevin, what are you doing? Come back here." Krystal screamed with frustration.

Kevin stopped in the middle of the room. He could see Amaya was trying hard to hide the tears dwelling in her eyes when she heard his name. He turned around.

"Don't care for her, Kevin come here." Encouraged by his act, Krystal sobbed.

Krystal's words able to arouse the anger Kevin was trying hard to suppress. He stared with evil eyes and yell at her.

"Leave this room at once; if not, I don't know what I'll do. Don't let me say twice."

Taken aback by his rudeness Krystal pause for a second and left the room weeping.

Kevin knelt beside Amaya without caring about trampling broken pieces of glass with an aching heart. Then he picked the trembling girl carefully in his arms to take her away from the glass fragments. Without a word, he tended to her wound. When Kevin finished bandaging Amaya's right arm, the other four arrived after their lecture.

All of them inquired about the incident, tidied up the room and comforted Amaya. In the meantime, Kevin left without any explanation, but the distress painted on his face was clearly evident to everyone.
