So this story is for my friend, Deena. She's a big fan of 5SOS and she loves Michael Clifford a lot! You have no idea how many times she talks about him. LOL.
Anyway, enjoy this little short story. Yeah, it's a short story so don't expect that much, kay?

Deena's POV
"So, there's this band," Liana, my BFF in the whole wide world began, "called 5 Seconds Of Summer. Their music is amazing! I totally recommend the song, You Look So Perfect," She flipped through the latest edition of POP magazine and showed me the picture of the band known as 5 Seconds Of Summer.
"It's okay," I told her, shaking my head. "I'm not a fangirl. But, they look pretty cute." So, I was not a fangirl. So? There were people who weren't fangirls either. What makes me any different?
"Aw, come on!" she begged, shaking my hand several times. In the other hand, her ice tea drink was slowly getting wet due to melting of the ice. "Just, listen to the song, okay?"
I grinned and pushed her hand down to the little wooden table, making it look as if I just won an arm wrestling match with her. "I can't keep promises I can't keep, Liana."
Liana pffted and pushed her bangs and tucked it behind her ear. She rolled her eyes and said, "Fine, fine. But, I know that you'll fall in love with them soon."
"And why are you so sure of that, Liana?" I challenged, raising an eyebrow up with a playful grin curled up my lips. "I'm not a fangirl and what makes you think I'll change so easily?"
Liana leaned closer, her eyes full of determination and confidence, as if the words she was about to say were going to come true. "I have my ways."
I rolled my eyes and shifted my seat a little to my right. I grabbed my fabulous sparkling sunglasses and put them on. The sun was shining brightly today. And the staff were busy going around to serve the hotel guests. Liana and I were relaxing by the pool the whole time, watching the water glimmer while the sun reflected it. "Good luck with convincing me, then."
"Excuse me, miss," I heard someone call. Turning to my side, I saw Fiona Jean–my secretary–standing next to me. She was probably just seven years older than me. For a twenty-five year-old, she has a face of a twenty-three year old woman. She had light brown hair and green eyes that's being shielded by her glasses. "Your father is calling,"
Should I at least explain why I have a secretary then? Well, my parents are the owners of this five-star hotel in Austrailia called Lipton Hotel. And well, since they're really busy everytime, I have been given a secretary and a bodyguard. Which was Fiona Jean and Henry Secret.
"Oh," I answered and sat up, removing my sunglasses and turning to Liana. "Sorry Lili. I have to go and meet my dad. But, I'll text you later for a little bet, okay?"
Lili nodded and continued flipping through the pages of the magazine as I was leaving.
"What does my dad want right now?" I asked Fiona, who was trailing behind me while rapidly typing things into her Samsung phone. She was my secretary and also my older sister. Okay, not really but she acts like one.
"I'm not so sure," she answered, still typing into her phone. There were things she had to do other than keeping me in line and scheduling things for me. "All he said was to call for you and bring you up to his office."
Fiona pressed the button of the elevator and it opened. Both of us stepped inside while Fiona pressed the button of the 29th floor. Yeah, this hotel is tall.
Once we arrived at the 29th floor, we boarded out the elevator and I froze in front of the chestnut double grand doors with the sign plate, 'Chairman.'
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Fiona asked, standing by the door in her cute tight dress. Most of the secretaries wore dresses like that. "Go on. Your father can't wait forever."
I inhaled a deep breathe, making sure I don't pass out once I go in due to hyperventilating too much. I placed my hands on the door knobs and slowly pushed it open. I could see my dad sitting on the big chair, (that's what I call it) he looked calmed but inside, he held something in.
"Oh, Deena," he greeted almost coldly when I entered. He didn't even beam at me because I was here. He only stared down at his papers. "I need you to do something,"
I made my way to the seat across the table. I held my breathe as I waited for him to continue his words. "What... is it?"
He set down the paper and looked deep into my eyes with much seriousness. "Since I don't want you to go around partying or whatever 18 year old girls do, I want you to man the front desk. You'll be working alone for the rest of the week. It's a Sunday so you can start working tomorrow. I hope you won't be late. Fiona will help you with the other things."
My jaw dropped while I was left speechless. Work?! He wants me to work at the front desks to check-in and out guests!? "But, Dad–"
"No butts except yours sitting by the front desk tomorrow," he smiled and grabbed the paper he was reading recently. "Go on. You can go now. Uh, Fiona, please bring Deena to Jean-Anne. She's the manager of the front desk."
Fiona nodded slightly and replied, "Yes, Sir. Come on, Deena. Let's get going now."
Unbelievable! I'm going to work in my own dad's hotel? What does he take me for? Another peasant girl?
"Go now, Deena before I cut your allowance," Dad warned.
I stood up and grumbled. I can't believe this! I quickly barge out the room and slammed the door behind me.
"You'll have to be here before 7:15 in the morning," Fiona told me, checking her clipboard then taking out her phone to probably text Jean-Anne. "Don't be late,"
"Whatever," I mumbled, crossing my arms as the elevator slowly went down, down, down. "Why does Dad have to do this to me?"
"I don't really know," Fiona answered, rubbing her hands on her skirt. She must be getting sweaty under her palms. "But, you have no choice at the moment."
Fiona's right. It was either give up my luxurious to run away from this job or stay in and work while I still have my allowance. Other than that, I didn't really have a choice.
