"It's a 'yes'!?" Michael asked on the other line, almost making me go deaf because of his scream. It was already fifteen minutes after my shift ended and now, I'm just standing at the far corner of the lobby, calling Michael and telling him that I will go on this 'date' with him.
I'm not calling his phone or anything because he turned it off. He was to afraid that Cindy–his manager, which he brought up the last time we were at Chadstone–had some kind of tracking device on it. If he were to switch it on, the police and Cindy–or whoever had the rights and power–would show up in front of Lipton hotel, causing a big scene and so on. So, I decided to call him by his room telephone number.
"Yes," I confirmed it, wondering if I made a mistake or just a little thing to make myself happy. Because, as I asked myself once, do I really like him? Because of him confessing, my work has gotten easier without him yelling for room service. Even if he did, I was happy enough to help him. I knew he was just lonely and I was, like, his only friend. "Give me fifteen minutes to get ready. I'm just about to head back to change."
"So, like, it took you fifteen minutes to debate whether to agree or not, right?" he asked, making me feel guilty about debating to myself. Yes, I did that but I wasn't going to tell him about that. Before I could answer his question, he added, "Never mind that. Ignore that question and quickly go change. Go up to my room once you're done."
He hung up and I quickly ran up to the elevator. It's weird that I stay in this hotel as well. I have my own room and suite. It's a suite that no one but my family and Liana knows about. You'll need the Prime Rose Card to enter that floor. Even the stairs won't lead you there. The doors of the stairs have an access as well. And, as usual, you'll need the Prime Rose Card.
Once I swiped in my card, I took in several breathes. So, all this time, hate wasn't really an option for the two of us. It was all just another misunderstanding between us. Mainly me because I was the one who misjudged him on everything. All this time, it was only because he was lonely and casted away because of one scene.
One scene.
Everything that happened here was because of one scene, now that I think about it. When Michael came here or before he came here, he caused a scene with his bandmates back at the set for their new music video. This feeling, the feeling of love I guess, was all because of the scene by the pool. The 'accidental fate'. Everything started with small scenes and turned into something big.
I entered my room and began flipping through clothes that I own. Since it's something small and not like extravagandza, I was thinking of casual wear. Simple and normal. (Because no one knows I'll be going on a date with a star)
I picked out a random T-shirt and wore ripped jeans with it. Since Michael was a person who seemed like a punk, I'll go for a punk-chic outfit. I topped it all off with ankle high boots.
"You look stunning," Michael complimented, wearing his usual hat and sunglasses. I wasn't sure if he really wanted to head out with those sunglasses because it was night right now. And I don't think there was another way for him to hide.
"Sunglasses? At night?" I asked, crossing my arms. "There's gotta to be something that will keep your identity so we can go. Let me look through your closet."
Michael stepped in front of me, preventing me for going into his suite. "I'm afraid I don't have anything else. I wasn't thinking, remember? I didn't pack anything when I left. This is all I've got."
"So, what you're saying is you're wearing the exact same clothing ever since you've got here?" I asked, taking a good look at his outfit.
