Fortunately for me, when I went back to the pool, Liana was still there and was waiting for the me the whole time. Okay, that was kind of a lie. She was engrossed with the music the whole time. And yeah, you guessed it. 5 Seconds Of Summer.

"Lili!" I called out and took a seat next to the chair next to hers. "You have no idea what Dad just asked me to do."

"You look so perfect standing there!" she sang, totally ignoring me and my statements. I sighed and quickly shook her out of her zone. "What!?"

"Did you hear me at all?" I asked, taking a seat back onto the chair. I crossed my arms together. I was so frustrated. How could my week end so badly?

"No," Liana answered. She started tapping her foot onto the titles of the poolside. She took off one of the earpiece from the left ear and asked, "What did you say?"

I sighed and leaned back on my seat. "Let me explain it all again. Lend me your ears for the rest of the story that'll I'll explain to you. If not, your phone and magazine goes into the blue waves."

Liana turned silent and removed the other earpiece. She made a hand gesture, motioning me to continue.

I sighed and began, "So, my Dad asked me to work at the front desk! I'm not even sure why. I start work tomorrow and end the next Sunday."

"That's so sad," Liana commented as her hand traced towards her orange juice. She must've been so bored that she ordered another drink. "Anyway, I have to go home. Mom's calling and I need to babysit. You're lucky you don't have siblings."

"You're lucky you don't have to work for the rest of the week," I said with a tired smile. "Bye, Liana. Text you soon, I guess."

     "Okay! Bye!"

"Deena, you have to go and meet Jean-Anne right now," Fiona, who unexpectedly popped up, informed me.

I nodded lifelessy and stood up, following Fiona to Jean-Anne's office.

"Miss Jean-Anne," Fiona called as she held the door for me so I could enter. And I did. "This is the chairman's daughter. He has asked his daughter to work as one of the employees in the front desks,"

Jean-Anne was furiously typing something into her computer. She stopped, looked up and smiled at me. "Why, of course. When should she start?"

"Tomorrow," Fiona abruptly replied. "She'll need her uniform and she'll be working for the morning to afternoon shifts. I trust you take care of her. She is now in your hands."

"Yes, yes," Jean-Anne replied, opening a few drawers and taking out a plastic wrap. Inside, I could see the uniform I was going to use tomorrow. "Here, take this. Be on time, tomorrow."

"Alright," I answered, taking the new uniform and heading out. So, today is my last day of freedom, then. This is how it's really going to end.

I realize that everything seemed to go downhill when the first ray of sunshine rained through the curtains of my room. It was the next day and I didn't even know what time it was.

When I checked my clock, I realize it's already 7:30 AM! I gasped and quickly scrambled out of my bed. Why didn't anyone wake me up then!?

I got into the shower and quickly changed into my new unifrom. I styled my hair and tied it into a neat bun. With the limited time, I quickly added eye liner, lipgloss and mascara.

I rushed down to the ground floor and looked at the wall clock just hanging by the front desk. 7:05 AM. I swear I almost fainted after rushing so much to see that I was five minutes early from the check-in time.
