Chapter 4

It was already our last period and I cant wait to get out of this living hell hole.

As much as I was paying attention, I cant because of Calum. As I said before he is in all my class. He always throw crumpled paper to me.

He throwed a paper again. This time I read it.

Youre a slut you know that? Just go back to New Jersey and die. Ill be coming on your funeral if you did that.

I tried not to look at him but I can just imagine the smirk on his face.

My eyes start to blur and I didnt even realize I was crying.

"Mr. Hood, 9.6 multiplied by 7.6?" Mrs. Coleman asked Calum drifting me out of my thoughts.

"Errm.." He said. I raised my hand so I can answer.

"Oh yes. Miss Crawford,"She looks at me. "72.96?" I answered but it came out more like a question.

" Very good. You may now sit." Mrs. Coleman smiled. As I sat back, I saw Calum glaring at me.

Wow, he is pissed cause I answered. I just saved him.

The bell finally rang signing us that it was already dissmissal.

As I was walking through the halls, I heard Calum called my name. I tried to ignore him by running but god, his legs are longer than mine so he catched up easily.

"Hey! You! Ignoring wont make me go away you bitch!" he yelled.

Before I knew it, my left cheek felt a sting. He slapped me.

He kicked me again. Again and again in my thighs.

Tears start to form in my eyes. He punched me on the stomach until I passed out.

I woke up in a room. With white walls. I tried to move my hands but it hurt. Realization hit me and I knew that I was in a hospital.

I start to move and felt a hand on my hand. I looked at the person who owns that hand.

He is a boy but he had his head down so I cant see his face. He shifts and looked at me. God, hes kinda hot. He wears glasses.

"Oh. Yeah. I saw you on the ground lying. I took you here in the hospital." he smiles.

"Oh okay. Thanks. Im Alyssa and your..."

"Earl." he smiles. He reaches for my hand to shake and I give my hand to him.

We talked for hours and I learned that he is in my class.

"Wait? How come I didnt see you in any of my classes?"

"Errm. I always sat at the back of tue class and I just dont talk to anyone." he scratches the back of his neck.

"Oh." Was all I say.

The door opened revealing my parents, Joy and Calum.

"Sweetie are you alright? What happened to you?" My mom asked.

"Yes mom. Im fine."

"Who did this to you?" Dad asked.

Me and Calum looked at each other not knowing what to say.

"Mom, no one did this to me. I was reading a book while reading and I ran on the wall it had hit me hard." I lied. I felt bad for lying but I cant say the truth to them. Especially when Calum is here.

"When will you be released?" Dad asked.

"Today.. I think." I replied.

The door opened and the doctor comes in.

"Ma'am you will be released today." the doctor said.

"And please fill the paper works outside."

We had gone back to our house and me and Earl took a walk outside.

I was talking to Earl about things and I bumped into someone.

"Oh Im sorry." I said.

"Alyssa." the girl hugged me. I dont even know her but she is hugging me right now.

"Im sorry." she apologized. I looked at her and I saw something in her. She looks like me. And I felt like ive known her long time ago.
