-Look C, I really enjoy spending time with you by meditating and trying to set your fists and hair on fire, but I dont think thats going to happen any time soon.-
Valkyrie looked at her friend with a sad face. She didnt want to hurt her feelings, she was just being realistic.
-I know. But I cant just give up! I know they cant be eliminated. That explosion back on Earth and Yon Rogg's blood gave me the powers and now they are a part of me. The only way to get rid of them is by getting rid of me.
-Sth that in the past has happened...many times. Perhaps whatever was on that porl is still in your sistem...blocking them.
-That could be possible.
-The odd thing is that, as of today, its been a month since you ate it. Usually poison lasts a week or less.
-Yeah...but we are talking about the Moranns. Everything is possible with them.

Carol looked at Valk with a confused face that quicky turned into an angry one.
-I refuse to believe that. I m fine. It s the porl. It must be.-

The next day they woke up (now it was Valk who slept on the couch and Carol on the bed) and ate breakfast while watching the news. The reporter talk about the situation:
-There s been an attack on the south part of the planet. Many houses have been set on fire. Its suppossed to be a Morann warning. They are coming back. And our savior, Captain Marvel is injured. We are doomed!-
Valkyrie instantly zoomed out at the mention of the south. Her home was there.
-My house! My things!
-Im sorry Valk. Still I dont know why they destroyed the south when its the north the most poblated region.
-Well...its also the less protected. That s why Klee took me there. Wait...you think?
-What? That she survived and followed your blood trail and my speeder's to my house?
-Wow. I was just going to say she did survive but just attacked the small city out of rage. But yours makes more sense.
-Thank you. But now. Now I m going to go there and murder that Morann b*tch's ass once and for all.
-And I ll be right by your side. Powers or not.
-That s nice...but are you sure you can fight only with fists and kicks?
-Nah. I been watching you train with the daggers, and I been practicing with the sword. I m ready enough not to get my back almost broken again.

-Now indeed. Lets go get that b*tch!-
They brushed their teeth, suited up and left the hotel for the Tabdarian Council Place (TCP). It was 5 blocks away from there. Once they arrived, a guard let them in and soon they were infront of the council.
-Oh. Miss Marvel. You are back. We are saved!
-Not really, sir. I still cannot access my powers. But I ll do whatever I can with my fists and sword.
-Ok. I suppose sth is sth.-
He noticed Valk's presence.
-Who might this lady be?
-I m Valkyrie.
-VALKYRIE!? We searched everywhere for you! Where were you!?
-Well...lets just say I was mentally incapacitated. But I m done waiting. The Captain and I will go to the south and take down the ship.
-Ok. But be careful.-
He turned to Carol.
-You ve been defeated once. Dont make the same mistake again. I don t want the galaxy to call it "Tabda, the planet where Captain Marvel perished".
-They wont. It ll be "where Klee perished".
-I ll make sure the Captain is safe. I got quite some training from Asgard.
-Ok then. I suppose you ll need a plane to get there asap?
-Yes please. The higher, further and faster it can go, the merrier.
-(V) Yeah baby! We are gonna save what s left of the south!-
They were taken to an airport where there were huge rectangule-like objects with circles around them. On their sides there were windows. A weird shape for a plane. But they worked just fine.
They chose the smallest one, one with yellow body and red strippes. They got inside and looked at the controls.
-Wow. This is amazing. And I thought my speeder was technological.
-Nah, this aint nothing. Back on Hala...
-Not again! Lets just flee. You were on the Earth's fighting planes right?
-US Air Force. Yes.
-Whatever. Can you fly this thing?
-I think so.
-That s a yes or no question.
-Yes. Let me just...-
She pushed a lever foward and they almost crushed the plane to the wall.
-CAROL!
-Sorry! I thought it was the turner.
We better buckle up.-
They did so, and finally, after 5 minutes of Carol finding out what each button ans lever did, they took off.
-Time to avenge my home!
-(laughts) I ll be doing honour to my call sign.
-What?
-My nickname back in the Airforce. Maria and the Doc used to call me that way. It was nice.
-You miss them, dont you? And mostly this Maria.
-Yes. We were close. Like a family.
-You were a couple?
-No...well...its complicated. We raised a child, Monica. We did everything together.-
Valk looked at her with an eyebrow raised.
-Monica called me her auntie, not mother. But...
-That "but" though.
-Anyway. I had to leave them. I had to help the Skrulls find a new home. I had to help many planets with their problems. And now, I have to save Tabda.
-Oh darling. You dont have to do it. You do it because you are a warrior, a loyal soldier. You do it because its the right thing. Selfllessly. Something I had forgot.
-Yes. Great power equals great responsibility. And now you are helping me, so dont worry. You are making up for the past.
-Yeah...all thanks to you. With your fighting spirit you set me back on track.
-We owe Klee that. If she hadnt kidnapped me, you would have never found me. Wow, at least sth came right about this Tabdarian-Morannian madness.-
They glanced at each other and smiled. Then looked front and watched as the Tabdarians suns shone from both sides of the plane's windows, and slowly got closer to each other, like the women hearts. 30 minutes more and they would arrived on the south.
