6. Resentfully Envious

Naruto's POV

Before I knew it, I was in my last class. Of course I had this class with Sasuke, so things were a bit awkward. "Students, I would like you to bring your attention up here." I heard Kurenai Sensei call out. I looked up and noticed she had her arm around a student. A student I've never seen before. She had dark blue hair that almost looked a bit purple in the sunlight. Her eyes were a fascinating shade of purple. "This is Hinata Hyuga. She's new to the school so please show her some respect!" Kurenai Sensei said as the girl smiled nervously. She looked over at me and I noticed her face quickly went red. "Hinata, there's an empty seat besides Naruto. Naruto, please raise your hand so Hinata knows where to sit." Kurenai said before sitting back down at her desk. I raised my hand into the air and gave the girl a warm smile.

It took a few seconds, but Hinata soon made her way to the seat next to me. I turned to face her. "Hi there! I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" I closed my eyes and gave her the biggest smile I possibly could. "I-I.. H-Hinata.. am.." She whispered in a cute high pitched voice. I laughed a bit. "Nice to meet you Hinata!" I said, opening my eyes to look at her. Well.. her face was bright red and she looked sick. "H-hey.. N-N-Naruto.. would you uhm.. like to get some r-ramen after class..?" She asked as she looked down and tapped her pointer fingers together. "Sure! Ramen sounds great right now!" I smiled as Kurenai Sensei looked over at me with a 'stop talking' look. I groaned and continued to write useless nonsense into my notebook.

Sasuke's POV

That girl. I already can't stand her. The way she eyed Naruto like that-.. wait. Why should I care about who liked Naruto. He was never mine to begin with. Still, I'm keeping a close eye on that whore. "Sure! Ramen sounds great right now!" I heard the blonde say out loud. 'Ramen? Did she just ask him out to get ramen?' I felt my fist clench together. Che. I turned my head to the wall and tried to calm myself down. I'll have to talk to her later about how things run around here.

Naruto's POV

I waited outside for Hinata for at least 10 minutes. I started to get a bit impatient. My stomach growled and I groaned. "N-Naruto.." I looked up. "Hinata! Oh boy.. I'm not sure how much longer I was able to-.." I was cut off by her. She looked.. upset. "Naruto.. i-I can't go today.. I'm S-Sorry.." She rubbed her eyes and quickly walked away. "H-Hinata wait-..!" I sighed, but she still just walked off. I groaned and gripped the straps of my backpack.

"Naruto."

I looked up to be greeted by Sasuke. He looked serious, but it was nothing new. "What.." I mumbled, still starving. "Come on. I'll take you to get some ramen if that's what you want." He muttered, looking off to the side. I perked up and smiled. "Awh really! Thanks, Sasuke!" I yelled out. I saw a slight smile crawl up his cheek but it quickly went away. He jerked his head to the sidewalk and began walking away. I followed him and smiled more. Oh, Sasuke.
