18. Coming Home

Naruto's POV

     I ran my hands through my messy, bedhead hair and looked over at the exhausted Raven siting on the chair across from the bed. "You know, you could've slept last night.. and the night before.." My eyes glistened as i whispered the words to him. "No it's okay. I wanted to make sure you're safe." He replied hastily. Sasuke hasn't left my side since we stepped into the hospital. He told me he didn't mind but i could tell how tired he was. "We get to go home today." I said with a small smile. He nodded and stretched his arms. I got up off of the white, brick hard hospital bed and stretched my legs, only to feel such pain in not only my legs, but my stomach too. I was able to walk, but every step felt like hell. The visions of my soft bed flooded into my mind.

    I stumbled over to sasuke and threw myself onto his lap. "Hi, handsome." I mumbled with a smile. He placed a gently kiss against my lips and pushed my head into his shoulder. "The nurse is bringing the baby in a few minutes. Hold tight." Sasuke said, stroking my head. I nodded and closed my eyes. It wasn't long until the door creaked open and the nurse stepped in.

  "Sorry for the wait.. we needed to make sure young Menma was one hundred percent ready to leave." She smiled and held out a basket with a warm, sleeping baby inside. I got up and grasped onto my stomach. Sasuke quickly grabbed my arm and grabbed the basket with his free hand. "Thank you so much.." I said to the nurse and she nodded and walked out. I went to take a step but Sasuke stopped me once again. "Easy, Naru. You're gonna hurt yourself if you keep walking like that." He muttered. I rolled my eyes as a smile curled against my lips.

    once we got in the car, it didn't take long until we were at our front door. Sasuke looked at me as i grasped onto his arm to balance myself. "You okay?" He asked. I nodded. "Let's just go inside.." I said, grabbing the keys out his pocket and swiftly unlocking the door. Though, i was almost thrown off my feet when i heard the voices of a few of my friends. "Congratulations!" They yelled as the rainbow confetti filled the air. I was confused at first but then quickly processed what was occurring. "guys.." i whispered.

   There was Iruka, who was almost like a father to me. He virtually raised me as a child. He moved when i was capable of living on my own. Then there was my close friend Kiba. We fought over little things for fun, but he was mostly there for me. Last but not least, I saw Shikamaru. He stood there with a small, yet faint smile on his face. Shikamaru was someone who i could tell anything to. He was like my personal diary almost. He helped me too. I was excited seeing him here since moved somewhere else for college.

I limped over to each one of them and gave them a warm embrace. "Thank you guys so much for coming.." I said, all teary and emotional. "We wouldn't miss it for the world. I can't wait to meet little Menma." Iruka said. Sasuke grabbed the baby and walked over to Iruka. He took the baby from Sasuke's arms and whispers soft compliments to him. I watched as Menma reached for Iruka's scarred nose. I giggled slightly. The other two then passed the baby around.

"Hey, Naruto. May I have a quick word with you?.. Alone?" Shikamaru suddenly asked. "Oh uh, of course. I'll be right back." I said, turning to the others and following him to the hallway. "Do you remember that break in that you told me about?" He asked nonchalantly. "Yeah.. why?" I replied back. "That won't be out of the ordinary anymore. I did some research and found out that Sasuke has a long history of crazy ex's. Known for trying to fight, kidnap, and even kill anyone who sasuke has a chance with."

Hey guysss ! Sorry for the late post. I have volleyball practice every other day now. I feel so bad that i'm not coming up with longer/more chapters. Love you all.
