My Love, My Alpha (On Hiatus)

Chapter 6 - Jordan and Luna

Callum's POV

Alex groans, "Why didn't you just leave him at home then?" Christian sets the kennel down, "We have an alpha that went into rut. That's why we couldn't leave him there." I hear everyone sit down somewhere, and see Alex rub his temples in frustration. "What about leaving him with friends, or neighbors? Did you think of that?" I hear Melissa sighs, "They all have alpha, aggressive, or normal pets. So we couldn't leave him with anyone."

Olivia comes over, and opens the kennel to let me out. I slowly walk out of the kennel, and sit in front of Olivia with my head on her lap. She scratches behind my ear, and Bonnie gives me gentle pats on my back. "I guess we can keep Jordan outside. Good thing I was going to cut their fur today anyways," Alex chuckles. He goes towards the side room, that Luna and Jordan are in, and opens it.

I hear a slight growl come from the room making me whimper, and Alex comes out of the room with Luna by his side. Alex runs off, and comes back with an electric razor in hand. "Do you have another one, Alex?" My ears perk up when Christian asks, and Alex nods and points to the room he came from. Christian gets for the room, and I follow him curiously.

He picks up an electric razor from the counter, and looks towards me. He mumbles something, and tries to grab for me. I quickly bolt out of the room. I am not getting my fur cut off today, no sirree. I would like to keep my fur, especially since we are in a much colder area than normal. I find an area behind the couch to squeeze behind, and get into it to avoid Christian. 

Olivia kneels in front of the opening, and I back up a little bit. "Callum. You need your fur cut, so come on out." I shake my head no at her, and back up more as she slowly reaches for me. Sadly, there was another opening behind me, and I'm quickly pulled out from behind the couch. My ears flatten against my head as I whimper and whine against Christian's hold.

Couple Hours Later

Luna and I are in the backyard running around, and enjoying the sun. I found out she has a litter of pups, but they're old enough to not need her body heat. Even if they did need her body heat, Jordan would've been keeping them warm with hers. I notice Luna laying down in the grass, and walk over to join her. 'Callum. I don't think you told me if you have an alpha in mind. So...do you?' I can hear the hint of excitement in her voice, but also see her tail wagging wildly.

'He he... I'm pretty sure I might be feeling for a German Shepard actually. He belongs to one of Olivia's friends,' She quickly stands up and begins to run in circles around me, barking happily. "Callum!" I look towards the voice, and see Olivia standing on the porch. I run towards her while barking excitedly. She holds up a tennis ball, and throws it across the yard. Instinct takes over to chase the prey, and the next thing I know is that I'm trying to tear into the fuzzy ball.

A few hours later

(A/N: Writer's block is a bitch... plus graduation stuff didn't help with the situation much. Congrats to Grads of 2019! Including my sister and I 😜)

I lay on the area rug in the guest room while Olivia and Bonnie sleep. My ears perk up as I hear someone open the door. I get up and see a man I don't recognize peeking into the room. I bark twice to get him to back off from the girls, but he just ignores me and approaches the bed with a soft smile on his lips. I tilt my head in confusion as he leans down to kiss the girls on their forehead.

He squats down to tray and scratch behind my ears, but I just quietly growls towards him. "You must be Callum. Might as well join me in the living room, since I can tell you can't sleep right now and neither will for a while." He whispers to me, and heads out of the room; leaving the door open slightly. I squeeze through the opening to find the man sitting on the couch with the TV on. 

He pats a spot on the sofa next to him, and I reluctantly accept it. "If you're wondering who I am, then I'm Alex's boyfriend Levi." I nod my head in understanding, and lay my head in his lap. My ears perk up to a claws scratching on one of the bedroom doors. Levi gets up, opens the door, and both Jordan and Luna run into the living room.

'Hi, Callum!' Luna screeches, and playfully pounces onto me. 'Hello there, Callum. Good to actually meet you.' I realize that this is Jordan speaking. I turn my head to look into her blue eyes, 'Ummm...hey... Why are you not trying to mate me? I'm still in heat...' She tilts her head in confusion slightly, and Luna takes the opportunity to lick her nose.

I jump slightly when something scratches my ear. A small yelp is sounded, and I see Luna now on the floor. 'Sorry, Luna...' Jordan then comes closer to me, and begins to sniff my scent. I look at her quizzically, 'What are you doing?'

'Just making sure your heat is completely gone. Was it a rut-induced heat?' I nod slowly, 'What does that have to with anything?' She shakes her head lightly at me. 'You must be quite young to not know. A rut-induced will last, at most, 12 hours if the alpha doesn't mate with the omega. Same thing can happen to alphas as well.'

I tilt my head in utter confusion as to what she means. I hear a slight sigh, and see Jordan shake her head. 'How old are you, pup?' I growl slightly, 'I am not a pup! I'm 20!' I hear Jordan chuckle slightly, 'Then, you still have much to learn.' I growl lowly, but stop do to Levi scratching my back. I go ahead and lean into the touch more, as both girls laugh at my childishness.

A/N: I'm so sorry for the fucking late update for the chapter! As stated earlier, I had to deal with graduation, work, and also just feeling like ass most of the time. Plus writer's block as I didn't know where to take this chapter, and I like to make all my chapters around 1000 words each. Overall, that is the 2 chapter for this book and I will be doing 2 chapters for The Curse Of Time. Then, 2 chapters and so on so forth. I like this rhythm, and I think it helps to focus on one book for a time and switching; then, just doing one book until it is finished and burning out faster. Hope you all are enjoying my stories! I will be writing another story after I finish both of these books which will be an Omegaverse, and I'm excited to work on that in the future! Have a great rest of summer!
