Valorie woke up to the sound of her alarm clock, signaling that she had to get ready for school. She groaned and slowly got up from her bed, tiredly making her way downstairs to the kitchen where she grabbed a bowl from one of the cabinets, poured in some cereal, and then poured in some milk. She made her way to the dining table while trying not to spill any of her cereal.

After eating, Valorie went back up to her room to get ready for school. She went through the clothes in her closet trying to find a nice outfit.

"I need new clothes," she muttered to herself.

Valorie decided on a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a black crop top hoodie. She sat down on her bed and put on her black combat boots.

Looking down at her hands she saw no sign of the cut from Freddy's Batarang last night, clenching her fists when she realized it mysteriously healed like usual.

She grabbed her backpack and her phone and made her way to the front door. Her aunt and uncle were probably still asleep since they went to work later than she went to school.

Valorie walked out the door, closing and locking it behind her, and met up with Freddy so they could walk to school together with the rest of his family.

When lunch came around, Valorie went to the spot where she and Freddy would always meet up to get lunch together.

When Valorie made it to their meet-up spot, she noticed he wasn't there. He's usually here before her.

She stood around for about three minutes before deciding to go to the cafeteria. When she walked in, she looked around and saw Freddy already there sitting with Billy.

Valorie put aside her jealousy from the fact that Freddy came to sit with Billy instead of meeting her and walked over to them.

"Flight or invisibility? If you could have one superpower. Flight or invisibility? Most people choose flight, do you know why?"

"So they could fly away from this conversation," Billy answered which led to Valorie laughing a little while he glanced up at her.

"No, cause heroes fly, and who doesn't want people to think they're a hero, right?"

Billy got up and walked away while Freddy was still talking.

"But invisibility, no way, I mean, that's pervy. Spying around on people who don't even know you're there. Sneaking around everywhere. It's a total villain power, right?" Freddy shouted at his retreating figure.
