No, she thought. No, no, no, no, no, NO.
The ground shook under her feet as that bearded fellow went back inside the bar as the wall that was moving by itself stopped suddenly.
She saw it. With her own eyes, she saw that magic.
In that moment, the entire conversation she had with her Great great Uncle Harry flashed through her mind.
She'd told him he was wrong. She literally tried to show him the "science" of things.
And here it was - right in front of her.
Her father who was barely visible to her couldn't even begin to understand how her entire belief system just flew out of the window as she took in the scene that was in front of her.
Witches and wizards surrounded her, and they had those things that kids called wands. She saw things flying around with no support, light and sparkles emanating from those wands, and the people who didn't even give a second glance to those things they saw happening around them everyday. She saw them do it, and it happened.
Dad tried to shake her once, but nothing worked as she realized that she, Azalea Petunia Watkins, had been wrong her entire life.
Magic was literally in front of her.
It did exist.
And holy friggin' crap, did it scare her.
