"You really are not mute, Glacier."

He just glances at me again and diverts his look to his thighs while sitting on the grass. "Of course I'm not." He scoffs.

After that pencil stabbing incident, I don't want to get near Glacier ever again. But this time, I know he's in pain with that frown on his face. I just find myself walking slowly towards him.

"What were you trying to do? You want to escape?" I asked when I'm halfway to him.

"I think, it's none of your business." His voice is low. I stop walking, kinda shocked of his frank statement.

I'm now pissed with him. I can leave now and let him suffer longer until the staffs find him but my Ina taught me to help anyone in need.

"Yeah right. You need help?" I ask.

He looks at me again with his forehead crumpled. "What? I'm just trying to be good here." I shrug, continuing my steps to him.

"If you really wanna help you should've run to me the first time you saw me on this ground." He rolls his eye.

Is he for real? I stop walking and cross my arms. "Well, if it wasn't you maybe I've ran as fast as I can, as if I'm running for my own life. But by the time that I saw your eyes, the urge left me. Maybe you have forgotten that you just stabbed me days ago!" I roll my eyes.

I don't know why I'm still arguing with him.

"Could you please just hurry up and help me instead." He demands, not even in a pleading tone.

Again, I roll my eyes and walk towards him. I offer my hand as soon as I reach him and help him stand up.

"Ouch!" He groans as he stands up not letting go of my hand. "I think I got my ankle sprained." He says while having a really hard time standing. I can see in his face that he really is in pain.

My brows furrow, "What is sprained?" I asked.

He looks at me, "Seriously?" He says.

"What?"

"You don't know what a sprain is?" He rolled his blue eyes. "Whatever. Just please help me get a seat." He sounds like he's in so much pain.

I feel a sudden pang of pity for him. Even if he is so mean, he doesn't deserve to be hurt at all.

I put his arm over my shoulder and hold him by his waist to help him walk. His left foot doesn't reach the ground. Hmm? Ganun pala ang sprained.

Medyo mahaba-haba pa ang lalakarin namin. Napagdesisyunan ko na rin sa isip ko na dalhin na siya sa clinic without telling him because I know na dadakdak na naman siya.

Nang makapasok sa building ay nakasalubong namin si Mister Agasser, yung isa sa mga pioneer staffs ng orphanage.

"Jusko! Glacier ano bang nangyari sa iyo?!" Dali-dali siyang tumakbo palapit sa amin.

"He said he got sprain, Mister." I said, still carrying Glacier's weight.

Walang imik si Glacier, well maybe he's just really mean to not to talk.

"Naku sige, Victoria, ako na ang bahala. Mabuti na lang at nakita mo siya. Salamat." He smiles at me then he suddenly carried Glacier.

Nagulat ako don pero mukhang balewala lang kay Glacier. Mabilis ang naging kilos ng ginoo kaya't nakatalikod na kaagad sila sa akin.

Lychee! Hindi man lang nagpasalamat ang tiyanak! Ang bigat-bigat kaya niya!

Nakatanaw lang ako sa likod nila at laking gulat ko nang biglang lumingon si Glacier sa gawi ko.
