RENJUN IS CUTE, THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS CHAP

So hey, how u doin??? So it's nearly a year that I didn't update, sorry boiis for not updating, school has been stressful as hell :/

And I just wanna say that from now on, the story will not be written in lowercase even though I don't like capitalism and I hella like the aesthetic, it's just appropriate? I dunno, maybe because I write my essays and other school stuff on my phone and every word it autocorrects to lowercase form, so yeah...

And this chapter is Jeno's POV yehey!!

"Short people are mean because they're closer to hell," Jeno remembers Jisung saying this phrase after he told the story when Renjun nearly broke his arm off just for the reason that the poor boy accidentally knocked off his alien figurine collection.

Jeno can't simply imagine that as kind and innocent as Renjun could ever hurt someone. The older boy shrugs off the younger's fuss, considering that perhaps Jisung was just being his moody teenager self (which almost all the time, actually).

When he first met Renjun, it was not pleasant but not awful as well, it was just awkward as hell. He was supposed to partner with Donghyuck but he already had one and said, "You can partner up with Renjun, he's available!" letting out a suggestive grin, Jeno was a bit wary of the strange notion but he did it anyways, and he's not regretting it.

Moreover, he also recalls the time when Donghyuck jokingly warns him about Renjun getting angry because hell, apparently to Donghyuck he's scary if he wants to be. And if Jeno could recollect his memories, he'd never seen Renjun get angry, maybe annoyed yes, and it's nothing near scary, it's actually--

*Insert Renjun pouting*

Cute, Jeno doesn't notice the burning of his cheeks until he feels it. He shakes his head, trying to shake off the feeling.

What the hell was that, Lee Jeno?

He's just complimenting, there's nothing wrong with it. That doesn't mean he's attracted to Renjun, not that, he's not attractive! It just Jeno doesn't find him attractive... wait it's still the same thing.

Okay, okay rewind, Renjun is attractive but he's not a potential partner for him. It's not that he's doesn't like Renjun's personality, he's a great guy, he's just not his type, that's all. What Jeno is trying to say, he's not gay or bi, Jeno could never imagine being with a guy but it doesn't mean he's against the community or anything--ugh, nevermind, just forget it.

Back to the project, it's has been third week of doing the project and it's almost finished! Jeno can finally rest, from the weeks of staying up late in the libraries and late night research... Well, to tell the truth, they're not always in the libraries, occasionally they'll get bored inside the library and probably procrastinate somewhere like in an ice cream parlour or a cafe.

Yeah, that was the fun times.

His train of thought fades away as soon Mark calls him out. "Hey, you okay?"

Blinks in surprise like he's suddenly out of trance. "What? No, I mean yes, I'm okay." he takes out his phone to look at his reflection. "Why? Do I look weird or what?"

"Not really, you were zoning out for a minute then you started blushing out of nowhere. What's wrong dude?...Wait, this is not what I'm thinking it is..." Mark starts to chuckle, shaking in disbelief as Jeno's cheeks suddenly flushes. "You're having a silly crush!"

In defense, Jeno quickly protest. "No, I'm not!"

Mark laughs, "Jaemin is going to be pissed about this, mostly because I'm the first one to know this."
