Taehyung looked down at his hands. They were covered in blood. His father’s blood. He was currently sitting at the police station, the police offer trying to get something out of him.
“Okay let’s start with the basics. Can you at least tell me your name?” The young frustrated officer sighed and threw his papers on his desk, startling the young boy.
“Let me take over, Choi.” Another man who was clearly much older than the current officer said. He smiled at Taehyung and sat where Officer Choi had previously sat. “Name?”
“Kim Taehyung.” The boy answered.
“Age?” The officer smiled and asked the next questions.
“21.” Taehyung continued to look around nervously.
“Parents?”
“I don’t have anything like that.” Taehyung replied in a whisper. “Can I make a phone call?”
“I’m not sure if you can do that at the moment but I’ll see what I can do.” The officer stood up and left with the information.
Taehyung felt uneasy. He had come here after he got into a little trouble and the blood on his clothes wasn’t helping his case. He was planning on calling his friend Yoongi to help him out. He knew that Yoongi had an extra bed room in his apartment and wouldn’t mind having him over for a couple of days.
“Can we ask you about what happened to your clothes and whose blood that is?” The officer said as he came back. Taehyung just shrugged and looked at his hands again. There was still some staining left from the accident.
The officer sighed. He had seen boys like this come through the police station quite often. They were the kind that never survived a day in prison. To good to have done anything wrong. He sat down in front of Taehyung.
“My name is Officer Jeon and I want to help you, but you are going to have to tell me what happened.” Officer Jeon said softly.
“I don’t know.” Taehyung responded just as lightly. Officer Jeon just smiled and left again. When he came back, he asked Taehyung to put his clothes in a bag and wear a spare police tracksuit they had. When Taehyung was in the black tracksuit and t-shirt, Officer Jeon got him a cup of coffee.
“Do you have anywhere to go?”
“Can I borrow a phone to call my friend?” Taehyung made eye contact with Officer Jeon and wished he hadn’t. The older man had kind eyes and was looking at him with concern. It made Taehyung feel angry at his situation.
Officer Jeon hand gotten him a phone and Taehyung tried to reach his Hyung, Yoongi. Yoongi phone was currently off but that didn’t surprise Taehyung, Yoongi was often too busy with his music to answer calls.
“He isn’t answering.” Taehyung said more to himself than to the police officer.
“Do you have anyone else to call?”
“No.”
