Gray panics. He wakes up and feels just horrible! What kind of boyfriend is he anyway? He forgot to get Juvia a birthday present! He jumps up, gets dressed,eats a quick breakfast and hurries out the door. He is on a mission to get her a fabulous gift! He might as well since it is her birthday!
Now, for any other person, he would not care if he did not buy them something. This is different though. This is his girlfriend, Juvia the same one who often talks about herself in the third person, the kind of girl who gets on your nerves from her constant talking and laughing, yet at the same time is sweet enough to go out of her way to see how you are, the one who gives nice gifts to her friends, and most of all the girl he loves! Yes, that is right, he Gray Fullibuster, loves Juvia Lockster! He has for awhile now.
Gray walks into the flower shop. He smells the aroma of all the plants right away. He looks at the assortment of daisies, the roses, tulips, carnations and other flowers inside the place. He sees some tiger lilies too. He smiles. He decides to purchase a blend of flowers. He ask for two tiger lilies, two daisies, two pink tulips, two red roses, two blue little tiny flowers since the color reminds him of her eyes, and finally two violets. He pays for them and leaves with in a nice vase the store lady put them in complete with a ribbon. He makes sure to sign the Happy Birthday card, as follows: To: Juvia Lockster
A very Happy Birthday wishes to you! Hope it is as great as you are to me! Love, Gray Fullibuster!
Then he locks the flowers inside his truck,a red Chevy and goes inside the jewelry shop. He feels nervous since he is not quite sure what to purchase for her in this particular spot. He looks over the display of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, watches, rings and more! He finally settles on a sterling silver necklace with a sapphire pendant, a set of matching earrings and bracelet! In addition to this, he buys a nice ring that has a silver band with a heart shape diamond on it. The ring is meant to be an engagement ring! This is why he is so nervous! He leaves from here with the jewelry and drives across town, where he knocks on the door to Juvia's house.
Juvia hears a knock at the door. She opens it right away when she sees Gray through her peep hole. She smiles, hugs him and says, "Awe, Gray! Juvia is so happy to see you!"
Gray smiles at her. He thinks, good she is happy to see me that is a good sign! Same old Juvia! He replies, "Good to see you too, and Happy Birthday!" He hands her the boquet of flowers in the vase, then the jewelry box. "Why thank you, Gray!"
Juvia puts the vase on the table and adds some water with plant food to it. Then, she washes her hands. She comes back and opens the jewelry box. She puts the earrings in and slides the bracelet over her left wrist. Last she puts on the necklace. Let does she know there is another gift that awaits her!
"Wow, Gray you bought me lovely flowers and some really nice jewerly! These are such nice presents! I love them!" Juvia remarks.
"I am glad you enjoy them so much." Gray replies.
"Well, I like anything that comes from you!" Juvia says.
"What did you have in mind for supper?" Gray ask.
"We could eat here! Juvia could make you some meatballs and rice, and a cheesecake! " Juvia says.
"Hmm, as great as that sounds, I will have to take a rain check on that babe! I think since it is your birthday, I will treat you to a restaurant!" Gray says.
"Oh, in that case, what about that new place?" Juvia ask.
"You mean that one down the road from here with the fries, burgers and such?" Gray remarks.
"Yes, that is it!" Juvia gushes.
"Okay, then let us go!" Gray says. He grabs her hand and pulls her out the door. Juvia smiles, locks the door and walks with him to his vehicle. He unlocks the doors, opens hers for her then goes around to the other side. He turns on the radio, but instead of listening to the music as he usually does he remains quiet.
Juvia wonders why Gray is so quiet. She does not mind the silence. She just thinks it is odd not to hear him sing along with the songs like he normally does. She figures maybe something is on his mind. What could it be though? Why does Gray so on the edge?
Gray and Juvia arrive a few moments later at the Burger Joint, which goes by Burger Barn! He parks the car, gets out, opens the door for her, closes it and walks with his hand in hers to the door. Once inside, Gray takes her to a seat near the front. He figures he might as well, as the sign inside says, "Feel free to seat Yourself!" They sit in a nice cozy booth.
The waitor arrives soon to take their order. Gray orders a cheese burger with extra pickles, no onions, no lettuce and extra tomato , fries and a Coca-Cola. Juvia orders a cheese burger with mayonnaise, tomato,lettuce, onions, and no pickles, fries and a Sprite.
As they wait for the orders they talk about how much they care about each other. "Juvia, I love you!" Gray says. "I love you too, Gray!" Juvia says. "Good, because I want you to be really happy as much as you make me happy! " Gray says. He slides off the seat.
Gray is on one knee now. Juvia gasps, is he? She thinks. Gray pulls out the ring box, opens it and says, "Juvia Lockster, I love you! So will you marry me?" Juvia smiles,cries happy tears and replies, "Yes, I will marry you Gray because Juvia loves you very much!"
Gray puts the ring on her left ring finger. He kisses her! Juvia kisses him back! Soon they have people crowd them with claps,laughter and congratulations! This is to say the workers and the manager all do this.
The manager offers them an complimentary dessert since they get to celebrate such a memontous occasion! They agree to this right away!
Once the food comes, they say a quick blessing, then eat it. After the dessert, a chocolate cake with chocolate chips inside, and chocolate icing on it comes out next. They enjoy it! Each of them gets two small slices which they finish off in no time!
Gray pays for the meal. Last, he drives his fiance home. He kisses her good night on the lips (obviously) and heads back to his place!
