Ring. Ring. Ring.

........

Ring. Ring. Ring.

........

Ring. Ring. Ri-SMACK!

It went flying to the wall with a loud crash. I pulled the blanket back up to my chin and started to fall back into the depths of sleep. I felt a cold breeze attack my back. I curled the blankets tighter and tighter around my body. Cold air paraded my body, never turning into the warmth I was looking for. Frustrated, I ripped the covers off to turn off the ceiling fan-what I thought was making it so cold- I got to the switch flipping it. I looked up, the fan was just starting. I flipped it again. It stopped. I looked around my room.

Ice. Ice was on the walls, the ceiling, the dresser, the edge of my bed, the nightstand, it was everywhere! All of the ice had the same beautiful carvings in it. Delicate music notes, herds of wild horses, and so much more that I couldn't describe. All of it, took my breath away. I wandered around my room. My long white night gown flowing with every step. It felt like a dream. I was walking in my own winter wonderland. I stopped and stared. My alarm clock smashed into pieces from the impact of the wall. Quickly I ran to my bedside to my beautifully iced phone.  7:00 AM.

knock. knock. knock.

"Kairi," the door squeaked. "Ah!- Kairi what's going on? Let me in!" she cried. Poor Alyssa probably had no idea what was going on. Her sweet innocent voice echoed through the frozen years. "Kairi?"

"Sorry Alyssa," I really was sorry "I'm changing and forgot to lock the door." I lied.

"Ok... Hurry up or we're going to late again."

"Alright, I'll be out in a sec!"

I rushed off to my closet, grabbing a pair of jeans and  a random T-Shirt. I slipped on a bra, quickly rubbed on deodorant while putting on the shirt. I hopped out of my room trying to get my jeans on.

Once they were on I dashed down the stairs to the kitchen, sticking a s'more pop-tart in the toaster as I looked for my backpack. Running around the kitchen, the living room, up the stairs, down the stairs; I couldn't find it anywhere.

"Margaret have you seen my backpack?" I yelled.

"It's in the car! Last night you left it there!" She yelled back. She was probably in her room.

"Seriously?" I asked myself. Why would I do that? I decided to forget about it for now, since I was going into the car later for school. I ran back into the kitchen just as the toaster decided to burn my pop-tart to a crisp. I grunted in annoyance when the smoke alarms went off.

"WHAT IS BURNING?" I heard Margaret voice coming closer as she emerged from her room.
