After about being in the car for about half an hour, we arrived at what I was guessing was her house. When we got to her house, what I saw was amazing! There was a big silver gate that went all around the house. I could see Mrs. Smith putting in a 4 digit number code for the gate to open. Then by magic I guess, the gate doors opened very slowly.

After we got in, I saw this huge fountain on the right side of the house in the middle of all the grass that was surrounding it. The water was going out of it like a sprinkler in full blast just going straight up and falling down into the little water pool.

As we kept driving to the front, I saw tons and tons of flowers. They were everywhere. Everywhere you turned, you could see lots of absolutely beautiful colorful flowers. I don't think I've ever seen so many flowers at once! There were roses, hibiscuses, daisies, sun flowers, tulips, lavender, the butterfly flowers, and so many more. There was reds, blues, purples, pinks, whites, yellows, greens, oranges, blacks, and browns. It was just beautiful.

When the car stopped in front of the big house, there was a lady who looked to be in her forties. She was wearing an old dress with a white apron, and her dark brown hair was put up in a twisted bun behind her head. She had a big grin on her face which made me smile of course. She went around and opened Mrs. Smith's door for her and helped her out of the car. Then she came over to my side, and took me out of the car and grabbed my bag which was on the floor by my feet.

"Well hello there cutie! What's your name?" She says.

"I'm Lily." I reply.

"Lily? What a cute name! I'm Susan."

"I like that name."

"Why thank you."

"How old are you Lily?"

I put up four fingers to show her how old I was.

"Four years old!, Wow, you are a big girl. I think that we are going to be getting along very well."

I smiled at that, and gave her a little hug. Then we started walking towards the house to the door for us to get inside. It was spotless. I mean nothing was out of place. It was all clean and literally sparkling. I had a feeling that I might actually like it in this place. But then I thought about Ruby.

Susan then took me to my room while Mrs. Smith was heading to her room for who knows what reason. Anyway, when we had gotten there, all I saw was pink. Pink everywhere. There was pink curtains, pink carpet, pink sheets, pink closet, even a pink bed frame. I thought that I was in pink heaven. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Susan took my bag, and unpacked it for me, putting everything neatly away in the closet and dresser. I didn't have much things, so it only took about ten minutes to put everything away. Then she picked me up, and gave me a tour of the house. It was a really big house. It had so many rooms just on one floor, and there were three floors. It felt like it was a mansion, but Susan said that it wasn't a mansion; not even close to one. That has me wondering how big a mansion is.

After that, we went to get a snack with Mrs. Smith because we were apparently all starving. For snack, Susan had prepared ice cream sundaes. Mine had one scoop of vanilla ice cream and one scoop of chocolate ice cream, with chocolate and caramel sauce, a whole lot of whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, and five cherries. It was very delicious! Susan was helping me to eat it because, well I was four, and four year olds are usually VERY messy eaters.

The sundae was very delicious by the way, even though it took a while to finish. While Mrs. Smith was eating her two scoop chocolate with a little bit of whipped cream sundae, she was telling me how happy she was to have me around, and that how much she was going to spoil me.

"So Lily, how are you doing, my dear?" she asked.

"Good."

"That's nice. Now, I say that we should take a little drive so that you can get to know this place a little bit. How does that sound?"

"ok.."

"Great, and maybe tomorrow we can go over across the street to Mrs. Diamond. She has a little boy who is about your age too"

"yay!" I was smiling at that. I was going to have a new friend. I mean who wouldn't be excited to have a new friend to play with, and have sleepovers with, and have birthday parties with! Hmm... Maybe my new life isn't going to be as bad as I thought it would be.

Maybe I was going to actually like it here.
