Victor watched you fondly as you sit under a large tree, one that he had planted years ago. When you arrived at the home you were never quite comfortable around the other children, so he planted the tree slightly further away as a makeshift get away for you. As you sat, book open in your lap as you read the horror story you heard the slight sound of footsteps, strategically placed so they would be quiet. " Try again" you hum quietly and laugh as you hear a huff. " One of these days just let me scare you?" Victor said sarcastically, a question you decided not to answer and just return to your book. The boy sat in front of you, crossing his legs and placing his elbows on his knees and head on his hands. " So you searched the library again I see" his statement made you nod, you looked at the same word expecting another comment. " Read to me?" This shocked you slightly, he sat with you often as you read but had never asked this. " Are you sure, it's a horror book?" You ask suspiciously, suspecting it to be a joke of sorts. The boy layed down next to you, hands behind his head, elbow slightly hitting your hip, one leg raised in the air " yes". You began to read quietly to the boy, feeling your heart race slightly at certain parts, not knowing what his reaction would be. He sat quietly and looked at you or had his eyes gently closed.  As the day slowly faded to night you closed the book and looked down at him, smiling. He stood and extended his hand to help you up, you lifted yourself off the ground instead and he pushed his hands into his pockets. " Why horror?" He asked curiously. " I've never been one for romance" you opened the door and placed your book down on the kitchen table as you sat there. He leaned against the table and smiled at you " I'm a romantic and you're not, what relationship could we create?" His smile grew lightly at your confused face. " I think a perfect one, romance might not be your thing but I'll make you feel loved." His statement made you smile and a blush grew on his cheeks. " I'll let you try and change my mind". After that night you read to him often, and he made you fall in love.
