Chapter 37:Island Shinobi Hunt!

Last time Hikage and Yagyu followed Hibari to the Warlords Beach House and confronted her. Although Tenma quickly denied them any interaction and they were quickly told to leave. What lies ahead for these Shinobi?
Tenma stood atop the cliff overlooking the ocean as he shot lightning attacks into the sky, although now he had Hibari join him in his training. "Tenma I'm getting a bit tired, can we take a break?" Hibari asked as she panted slightly. "Yeah Hibari, Just go sit down on that rock over there." Tenma said as he turned around to continue training only for his arm to be hugged by someone. "I think you misheard me Tenma, can we take a break?" Hibari asked with a sweet smile, but Tenma could tell she was not happy with him right now. "Fine I'll come sit with you." Tenma said with a sigh of defeat as he sat down with Hiabari, who snuggled into his side happily.
Asuka could not believe that Hibari would do this to them! She has the nerve to run off and spend time with their boyfriend while the rest of them are down in the dumps! "I swear when I get my hands on that pink haired brat!" Katsuragi growled as she punched her fist into the palm of her hand. Surprisingly Yagyu didn't come to Hibari's defense when Kasturagi got violent, she must still feel hurt about her friend not being honest with her. "We'll just have to pay the beach house a visit now won't we?" Ikaruga said in a calm voice, but her eyes gave away that she was seething on the inside. Asuka could only walk along in silence as the four teams approach the beach house.
"Oi boyo, pinkie! Are ya both still up here?" Tenma and Hibari both turn to see Patrick run up to them with a smile on his face. "Yeah we're still here Patrick! What's up?" Tenma responded to his friend as he waved to the Irish Shinobi. "Ya'll never guess what I just saw! Apparently those two lasses informed the rest of those broads about yer location. I recommend ya steer clear of the beach house for awhile!" Patrick informed the two as Tenma developed a look of dread on his face. "What part of I need time do they not understand?" Tenma groaned out as he put his face in his hand. Hibari patted Tenma on the back as she tried to calm the poor boy down as best as she could.
Miyabi could see the beach house in front of them as her and the rest of the girls quickened their pace. Although they were soon blocked by Yakaen who had his Naginata resting on his shoulder. "Yagyu, Hikage I thought I told the two of you to stay away from here the other day?" Yakaen said in an eerily calm voice that betrayed the look of rage on his face. "Yakaen we just want to talk to him! Can we please just see him?" Miyabi asked as have the Fire Warlord a pleading look. "Tenma told Yagyu and Hikage he wasn't ready, so I'm asking you to wait until he is." Yakaen responded in a more irritated tone.
                   "Would you guys stop guarding him like this? He's our boyfriend and we want to make things right!" Homura shouted at Yakaen, who simply glared at her. "No is my answer and it will no change anytime soon." Yakaen stated coldly as he held his ground without faltering. "Now hold on just a second!" Yumi started, but was cut off by a wall of fire erupting from the ground. "Do not test me students of Hanzo Ultimate! I am not against burning you all to a crisp if I have to!" Yakaen roared in anger as slammed the butt of his Naginata into the ground.
Tenma and Hibari walked through the forest as they tried to figure out what to do. "Well we can't go back to the beach house, so what should we do now?" Tenma asked Hibari with a curious look in his eye. "Why don't you come with me Warlord of Thunder?" Tenma and Hibari both turned to find a girl with short brown hair and wearing a bloodstained dress. The girl was also brandishing a knife and stuffed animal.

"Maki! What are you doing here?!" Hibari growled out angrily as she glared at the Senki Shu member. "I'm here to bring the Warlord of Thunder back to Hyoki. Although seeing you two all happy and in love angers me! Perhaps Hyoki would be fine if your covered in a few cuts!" Maki shouted angrily as she charged towards Tenma with her Knife at the ready. "Static Knuckles!" Hibari shouts as she punched Maki in the gut, which sent her flying back into a tree. "Tenma I'll fight Maki, you get outta here!" Hibari said as she told her boyfriend to run.
                    "Hibari I'm not gonna just leave you to fight this girl on your own." Tenma responded as he got ready to draw Kasharashi. "What did I just tell you to do?!" Hibari shouted angrily at Tenma as he recoiled slightly from her tone. "Alright, alright. Geez you can be quite stubborn you know that?" Tenma said before turning around and dashing into the forest. "I really hate people like you! Getting to experience love and happiness, while I suffer! I rip you apart!" Maki screeched as she rushed at Hibari, ready to kill. Hibari sidestepped before grabbing Maki's wrist and sending electricity through it.
                    Maki was then thrown into another tree by Hibari, this time breaking it on impact. "Y-Your different! I don't remember you being able to defend yourself this well." Maki said in disbelief at Hibari's new found strength. "You can Tenma for that, he trained me and now I'm almost on par with his clan's Shinobi." Hibari said as lightning continued to crackle on her hands. Maki stood back up before jumping high into the air with her knife raised above her head. "Die you pink brat!" She screeched as she 
aimed for Hibari's neck. Hibari our a calm breath before catching Maki's arm once again. "I am not a brat!" Hibari shouted as she delivered an electrified uppercut to Mali's chin.
                 Maki was sent flying into the air as Hibari readied another attack. Hibari's leg started to crackle with electricity as she spun around. "Thundering Roundhouse!" Hibari roared as her kick connected with the side of Maki's head. Maki was once again sent flying into a tree and this time she broke through three before stopping. Hibari watched Maki carefully, waiting to see if she would get back up. When Maki didn't stir, Hibari dispelled the lightning from her arms and legs as she let out a tired sigh. "I better catch up with Tenma." Hibari said as she ran off in the direction her boyfriend went.
                  "So the little pink rabbit has gotten stronger? This could prove to be a problem down the line." A sultry voice said as she walked towards Maki. "Poor little Maki didn't know what hit her, well no matter. The Warlord of Thunder won't get away that easily!" The woman with long pink hair said as she had her puppets carry Maki out of the forest. "Hyoki won't be pleased if Tenma gets away, so its time I join in on the fun." The pink haired girl said as she walked off with her puppets following behind her.
                    Yakaen was getting sick of arguing with these girls, they just refused to accept no for an answer! "If Tenma didn't still care about all of you, so help me I would burn you all to a crisp!" Yakaen thought to himself as he tried to not completely explode on them. Suddenly out of the forest Tenma and Hibari jumped out along with Patrick. "Tenma!" All the girls said in unison at the sight of their boyfriend. "Oh for the love of, your all still here?!" Tenma said in disbelief at the sight of the girls. "Tenma listen we" Asuka was cut off by Tenma glaring at her before turning to Yakaen.
             "Yakaen, Hibari and I were attacked by another member of the Senki Shu. What was her name, Maki?" Tenma said as he looked to Hibari for confirmation. "Are both of you alright?" Yakaen asked in a concerned tone as he looked at them in worry. "Yeah Hibari was able to take Maki down pretty quickly." Tenma said as Hibari smiled proudly. "It helps that she was really angry!" Hibari said with a giggle as she gave Tenma a hug. "This could be a problem, Tenma we might need some extra help." Yakaen said as he shot a look at the Hanzo Ultimate girls. "Fine they can help!" Tenma growled angrily as the girls eyes lit up in excitement.
                    "But don't think I'm ready to talk to any of you!" Tenma said before storming off towards the beach house and entering it. The girls smiled fell at Tenma's outburst. "Don't worry lasses, I'm sure Pinkie over here can talk to Tenma about this." Patrick said, hoping to cheer the girls up. Hibari walked towards the beach house and entered it to look for Tenma. "Well I'm sure you heard the Senki Shu are here, so be on your guard from here on out." Yakaen said before turning and walking back to the beach house along with Patrick leaving the girls to think about what has happened.

So now the Senki Shu are on the island! What lies ahead for our favorite Shinobi? Also will Tenma finally be able to patch things up with his girlfriends? When will the Senki Shu strike again? Find out in the next chapter of Senran Kagura:Thunderbird!
