I walked back to my dorm room, after finishing hosing off Kermit and Gatsby. More people started arriving, and I dodged suitcases, students, and parents. Arriving at my dorm hall, I helped a girl in through the doorway. She thanked me, and then needed help finding her room. I gladly obliged, knowing her room was next to mine. When we arrived, she thanked me again.
"By the way, I'm Julie." She unlocked her door and gave me a wave before stepping in.
"Uh, I'm uh Scarlett." I sounded so stupid. I blushed and walked inside my room, turning on the main television and fetching something from the kitchen. Inside the fridge was a surprise: a plate of fudgy brownies. My phone buzzed as I took the plate out of the fridge, setting it onto the coffee table and walking into my bedroom. I changed into black genie pants( the most ocomfortable pants ever!) and a green super-soft cotton tee. Grabbing my brush and my MacBook, I went back outside where HEARTLAND was playing on CBC. I sat down, pulling my hair out of my ponytail, and brushing it until it was perfectly silky. I then managed to put it up in a messy bun while unwrapping the first brownie. I opened my email and saw one new message:
BRIARSRIDGE RIDING ACADEMY
SCHOOLING SHOW
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 FROM 6:30AM TO 6:30PM.
AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN AT FEAST IN BALLROOM.
COME ONE COME ALL!!
The schedule for the show and all the classes was attached. Show jumping was first, at 7:45, then level three(advanced) cross country at 11:45, and finally third level dressage, which was common for a schooling show at the most prestigious riding school in the world. I entered the classes via reply, and took a bite of my brownie. I flipped through the channels, stopping only for a reply of an Equestrian show jumping Expo.
