"It's this way." Harry said as he took my hand and started dragging me along the main street of Hogsmeade.
"Harry c' mon take smaller steps." I said since I had to almost jog to keep up with him. "We aren't in a hurry." I said and pulled his hand to make him slow down.
"Yeah, sorry." He mumbled and stopped walking, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. "You most likely haven't even been here before. You should have the chance to look around."
I smiled. Not what I meant but I'd take it.
We walked in silence. It was nice.
"So where were you yesterday?" Harry asked. "I didn't see you after you left to do the stair prank with Fred and George."
"Actually I met someone." I smiled brightly.
"Huh? Already?" He asked wiggling his brows funny.
"No not like that. I spoke with a Slytherin for a while. I think I made my first friend in Hogwarts." I smiled.
"No not first. You have me, the Weasleys, Hermione." At that, I raised my brows and sent him a doubtful look. "She'll warm up to you."
"Yeah right." I mumbled with a roll of my eyes. "Look those are your friends and even if we will end up getting along... They won't feel like my friends. Just people who hang out with me because I'm your cousin and you are important to them. I want my own friends too. So you can still have alone time with ours when I get annoying."
He looked at me weird.
"C' mon we're family. Family is a blessing but can sometimes get tedious and you know... Family fights. It will happen to us too."
"I hope not." He said.
"Don't worry. Real family always makes up. It's how you know you're with the right people." I smiled.
"Sounds nice I suppose. I haven't had anyone like that." Harry mumbled.
"I know. I'm sorry. We should have been here for you." I apologized.
"I was fine. You're here now." He mumbled.
"Always the modest one huh?" I asked and started looking around more. The shops weren't the same as in my time. Some hadn't even been built yet and some were different stores than they will be.
"This is such a nice place." I said as I twirled in place, looking around.
"Yeah would be nice to live here someday." Harry nodded: "Hey there it is." Harry said and pushed open a store door.
"Oh, it's really nice." I said, starting to look around. "Ohh these fabrics are so nice." I said. I don't really care about which brand clothing is, but I do have style when it comes to basic clothing.
The first thing I snatched from a shelf were nude pumps. Mom always used to say that when it came to high heels a woman had three needs. Nude, black and white. Bright colors are unnecessary in shoes since out of these three colors you can find something for every outfit.
"So what do you think? These pants. Will they go with everything?" I asked.
"Um, I suppose so?" He said, looking like a deer in headlights.
"Okay well, I'll take a couple of pants, one dress a lot of shirts and... some shoes. Can you hold these? I don't need accessories, so I'll just... Take a few cardigans." I spotted thigh high boots and suddenly I realized that... Maybe I do like clothes after all. I'm not used to not having a full closet. I don't use brand clothing but still, I do enjoy coming up with a nice outfit. "Oh, I want these! But they are so expensive! Still, I want them. Oh, Merlin, Harry stop me." I said and turned to him only to see him holding all the clothes I had given him, the pile high enough cover most of his face. "Oh I'm so sorry, why didn't you say anything?"
I started pulling the clothes from him, placing them on the checking counter. "I'm okay with helping." He shrugged.
"I went a little overboard. It's just that I like shopping and I lost all my clothes so... I'm usually not this crazy with clothing. At least not when I have some." I cringed.
"Look I understand you have to wear the school robes meant for weekends. The collars are always too tight and itchy. I wouldn't want to wear that either." He smiled.
"Thank god I thought I was being a whiny snob." I said as I pulled the collar.
"No everyone hates the weekend robes." He reassured me.
Sighing in relief I took my purse out of my pocket.
"How are you going to pay for all of this?" Harry asked sounding a little doubtful. "You're a Potter I can give you a key to the Gringotts Potter vault."
"I've got it, don't worry. I really don't need the money. My dad had a good job in France."
I paid the cashier, a nice witch in her sixties. Almost used all my money on clothes.
"I'm well off, but I promise if I need something, I'll come to you." I smiled.
"Have a great day Potters. Congratulations on the wedding." The cashier witch said.
"Oh-" I started, but was quickly distracted by what I saw walk by the shop window. "Hey, that's the Slythering friend I made." I said and started dragging Harry out of the store. "You two should meet."
"Okay." Harry nodded. "I don't really know all the girls in Slytherin." He said.
"No, he's a he." I quickly said and looked both ways of the street, but Prince was gone.
"Wait. A Slytherin guy? Look Selenia I know all of them, they are all trouble. Especially Ma-"
"No, he was so sweet." I said. "I think we just missed him."
"Well, I still think you should be careful." Harry warned me.
"I promise." I smiled. "Look I need to get out of these clothes."
"You can change in the nearby pub. They have good butterbeer. I'll order us two." Harry said and nodded to The three broomsticks inn.
"Well, let's go." I was quick to throw on the nude high waist pants and a basic white t-shirt. I threw on a grey cardigan and the new nude pumps. After throwing on my favorite pink glasses I took some jewelry from my purse and put on some jewelry. I looked like myself again. This came way too easy. As the Potter daughter, I had to dress nicely for the press. I guess I just got used to it.
I walked out of the bathroom and joined Harry on a booth.
"You look lovely. And probably feel much more comfortable. Well maybe not, those heels are quite high."
"They are surprisingly lovely. And yes that itching on the collar was killing me." I smiled. "Look I don't think you've had much fun here, we've only bought clothes I've needed. Wait... I know just what to do." I said and smiled.
