Chapter 16
April 1st
When Isabella was back at RayBourne, she would try and visit Cody and Annabelle whenever she could. She was just glad that she didn't have any classes during the times she went to visit Annabelle. Isabella didn't have any classes this morning so she figured it was a good time to see Annabelle.
"Hey," said Hannah Ward, "where are you off to?"
Hannah was a very good friend of Isabella's and they shared the same dorm room. Isabella was glad that they were such good friends because she couldn't imagine sharing a room with someone she didn't like. That wouldn't have been good at all.
"I am off to the café. Why do you ask?" said Isabella.
"I'm just curious. You seem to be popping in and out a lot lately."
"Not all the time."
"Yes, all the time. What is so interesting about that café?"
"I like cafes," Isabella lied.
Hannah raised an eyebrow, "okay, then. I'll see you later."
Isabella smiled, "yeah, see you."
Isabella then collected her bag and headed to the café. She made a quick detour past the paddock where she saw Storm and Sheebah. She stood at the fence and smiled as Storm walked up to her. Isabella then gave him a pat. He nudged Isabella, clearly asking for more. Isabella gave him one last pat before she headed to the café.
And it wasn't long before Isabella made it to the café and she received a smile from Annabelle as soon as they saw each other. Even though Annabelle was three years old than Isabella, they both considered each other to be good friends.
When Annabelle was not busy anymore, she walked over to Isabella and told her that they could talk soon. She did say that while she was waiting, Isabella could go and play with Cody, and it wasn't long before the little boy came out, clearly excited to see his aunty. Isabella smiled at Annabelle before she proceeded to play with Cody.
"Look! My plane!" Cody squealed.
"Yes, it is a very nice plane," replied Isabella.
"Its Laney."
Isabella smiled, thinking the name of the plane was funny, "that's a great name," she said.
"Mummy got it for me," replied Cody.
"What other toys have you got?"
Cody then ran into the back room of the café and it wasn't long before he came running back out with a pile of his toys. It mainly consisted of cars, planes, dinosaurs and dragons; typical boy toys, Isabella thought.
Isabella bent down in her seat and picked up a stegosaurus, "what's this one's name?" she asked.
"Steggie," replied Cody, showing Isabella one of his cars and how he could make it drive on the table.
Isabella smiled.
It was nice to watch Cody play.
"You know my daddy," said Cody as he was playing with his cars.
"I do," Isabella replied. She vaguely remembered Annabelle telling her and Tasha that she had told Cody about Mr Wilson. But Isabella didn't know what to say because it wasn't her place to tell Cody about his father. She would just wait for Annabelle to come and see Mr Wilson, however long it would take to make up her mind.
"Mummy said that he is nice," Cody continued.
"Did she?" asked Isabella.
Cody nodded.
