Chapter 20
April 15th
The next week at university, Tasha didn't feel like doing work. She just wanted to go home and spend time with Cody. It was the school holidays and even though Cody wasn't in school, Annabelle and Mr Wilson had agreed that Mr Wilson could see Cody on the holidays.
Cody was sleeping over for the holidays and Tasha was enjoying spending time with him. Tasha thought that it was fun to play with Cody and she loved spending time with him. Cody was also getting used to her. He used to be a little scared of her but now he loved her. He reminded Tasha of Braedon when he was five years old.
Tasha and Adam had agreed to meet their friends for lunch. Tasha went and got herself some lunch and made her way to the library where she could wait for the others. It was going to be a big group; Adam's friends, Ethan, Zac and Nathan, and Tasha's friends, Emily and Sebastian. Tasha made her way into a study room where everyone could fit, and they wouldn't disturb anyone else.
It wasn't long before Tasha was disturbed from her work when she heard Adam and his friends come. She looked up and smiled when she received a kiss from Adam because he took his place next to her.
"How was your lecture?" Tasha asked the guys.
"Interesting, as always," replied Ethan, "how was yours?"
"Yeah, it was good."
"How are things with Cody?"
Tasha was glad that her friends seemed to show an interest in her life and that was why she told them about Cody and Mr Wilson.
"It is better now," said Tasha.
"We should come and see him," replied Zac.
"I don't know," said Tasha, "maybe we should wait a while longer. Maybe until the next school holidays."
"That's okay. We wouldn't want to impose."
"You wouldn't be."
That conversation ended there when Emma and Sebastian made an appearance. They entered the room and greeted everyone before they took their seats.
"Have you heard from Emma?" asked Emily.
Adam was the one who answered. He nodded his head, "things are looking good for her."
"Really?"
"Yeah. She's only had one counselling appointment, but I could see a difference. She cut ties with Matilda and Ash. I went with her, but she did it all herself."
"Oh, that is so great. I am so glad."
"Yeah," said Sebastian, "but what is she going to do now? It's not like she can come back into this course. She dropped out."
"I think she's going to sort things out with her life and her family before she works out what she is going to do," replied Adam.
"That makes sense," said Emma, "I am sure everything will work out for her."
That was what Tasha was hoping. And she hoped that Emma never chose to do anything like that again.

On the weekend, Amy informed Tasha that she, Ian, Catania and Cody would be going over to Mr and Mrs Doyle's place so they could spend some time with the children. Tasha even offered that she would come and Amy gratefully accepted. Tasha had a feeling that Amy wanted her there for support, in case she felt like crying or something.
