Multiple shadows danced in the flickering flame of the torches that lit the corridor of the underground base as countless 'clang's of clashing swords and jutsus echo from a distance. The familiar smell of death and retribution filled the air as minutes passed. He was used to it.

It was a good thing he managed to evacuate the poor innocent souls without having to have to see the war behind him. Naruto stared directly ahead of the corridor with no emotion evident on his face. Look closely though, and you might just see a twinge of frustration in his eyes. Now where was that lunatic's office?

Upon searching for a full 5 minutes, he finally found a tunnel lined with steaming squeaking pipes and an eerie drip drop of what he presumed to be connected to the sewage pipeline network of the village. The trail, of course, only ended in a dead end. However as he was about to turn and leave, his instincts told him otherwise so he confirmed to inspect it more throughly. He did not regret that decision.

Baffled, he detected a very strong illusion casted upon the wall. Had he not been immune to genjutsu, he was sure that even he wouldn't even be able to detect the slightest hint of chakra. This was concerning indeed because as far as he knew this is considered an S-rank jutsu, one he knew so well that it made his skin crawl at memory. A newfound threat appears, he sighed, and he knew only two people capable of performing it: one that was currently not in the village and the other he was unsure. He had to investigate this further.

Regardless of who casted the genjutsu, there remains the question of what it was for. That old crook must have hidden something very very important here; and just as any sensible person would do, he quickly canceled it.

Heavy double doors stood before him, if they were meant to be intimidating he didn't know; it didn't seem to affect him as much. He pushed the door open, half expecting this to be that old coot's office. After all, the man was quite paranoid when it came to privacy. Why would he know this? Now that's something you do not want to know.

Much to his relief, it really was just an office. The room was dimly lit, with a torch on either side of the door and adjacent wall above the black presidential like table; scrolls upon scrolls lined the shelves that stood behind the desk as some littered the cement floor. He couldn't help the grin on his face at what knowledge he could learn from them. Using a one-hand sign, he summoned more clones to transport them to the house.

Now the house wasn't that fancy. It was a 5 story building that was situated in the forbidden forest with Kurama's own level of genjutsu to keep it away from prying eyes. It was a temporary home for the children and him until he's finished with his little project.

Back in the room, Naruto walked around rather confused and more frustrated than earlier. This made no sense. There has to be something in this godforsaken office that had to have that kind of security outside.

"Boss, I found something," one of his clones called.

Naruto turned around to see the bookshelf retreating inward and slid aside to reveal the same office as this one.

You have got to be kidding me....A secret room!

He never knew what to expect inside, only that it fit the last man to use it; quite barbaric. He swallowed a nervous breathe as he and his clones step inside. His eyes registered shelves upon shelves of human limbs and parts that bore labels of forbidden use at the farthest south of the room. The west wall was bare besides a shelve of scrolls with a noticeable variety in colors. The wall opposite to it bared a table of messy documents.

The only detail it had as a connection to the first room was the desk; and on that desk was something his stomach did not like.

A lone crimson red eye stared back at him, floating inside whatever liquid was in that jar.
