Angelo's POV

Jeremy hasn't wanted to leave Adam's side for days ever since he's woken up.  However I decided to remind him that he did have a job, and that he still likes to get paid.  I could tell he was avoiding Barnes and Noble since it reminded him of Adam.

Even though he has woken up and doing better, there are still many health risks.  He still won't be released for months and that's if he's lucky.

"You don't have to be here to make me feel better." Jeremy said as he put a book on the shelf.

"But I want to.  What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let you be sad your entire shift?  Also you look adorable in that uniform." I said as I stared at his legs.

"Hey, eyes up here." He said and I laughed.

I kissed him longingly.  He tried to push me off but soon gave up.

"You're going to get me fired." He mumbled.

"Would it be worth it?" I asked him.

"Yeah."

He pulled away and winked at me.  I swear he got hotter the more the days passed. He started putting books back in the correct place.  I stole kisses every chance I got, and he touched me whenever chance he got.

"You would think that the worlds has had enough vampires." He said and I laughed.

"I'm still a sucker for Twilight." I admitted and he raised an eyebrow.

He kissed me very quickly.

Then I heard two women in the row behind me comment, "two guys kissing that is so gross."

Jeremy looked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Ignore them." I whispered and he nodded.

Me and Jeremy had gone on many dates in public.  We've kissed and cuddled.  People rarely ever had a problem.  If anything we just got a couple glares or weird looks.  We were just lucky I guess.  However this was the first comment we encountered.

I could tell Jeremy was hurt.

"Fags." One of them said and the other one laughed.

Sometimes I couldn't understand some peoples thinking process.  Why would they stand there mocking people?  People who minded their own business.  I handed some of the books to Jeremy and I turned around to got to that aisle.

"Don't." Jeremy pleaded.

"You know we can hear you right?" I asked them.

They looked like mother and daughter.  Both of their faces turned a dark crimson.  They exchanged looks.

"We're s-s-sorry." The daughter stuttered out as the mom stayed quiet.

"No one is forcing you to stand here and watch." I said calmly.

They both scuttled away after that.  I let out a breath of frustration.  Why do people with that mindset exist anymore?

Jeremy looked humiliated.

I knew he didn't want me to say something.  I wasn't going to stand there as they made fun of us.  That's just not in my personality.

"I had to say something Jeremy." I said.

"I know you did.  It's just embarrassing."

"I know but it shouldn't be."

Jeremy opened his mouth once again but then my phone rang.
